Farrington Oils marks 20 years of launch of Mellow Yellow

00:00It's 20 years, it's been a journey and most of it's been fantastic.
00:05It's far exceeded any expectations when Ellie and I started the business.
00:10And we started as Britain's first producer to grow, press and bottle rapeseed oil on farm.
00:18And we started as a small business, we're still not a big business,
00:22but we started on our own as a farm diversification to do this.
00:27And now we've got a brilliant team of 14 people.
00:31We started with one press, we've now got 18 presses.
00:33They're going 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
00:37And we're producing as many bottles in one day now that we did in our whole first year.
00:42But although we've grown in scale, at the end of the day,
00:47everything we do today is still exactly the same as we did on day one.
00:52For example, before any bottle of oil wears that label and the Mellow Yellow name,
00:59it has to go through over 30 different quality checks and tests.
01:04But the whole process is very simple.
01:07We squeeze it, we filter it, we put it in a bottle, and we call it the process of no process.
01:13And how do you enjoy your Mellow Yellow?
01:14I've just had lunch, actually, and I had a lovely, went home, a quick salad.
01:20And we've got classic vinaigrette, which Ellie made a long, long time ago,
01:24which we sell as one of our salad dressings.
01:26And classic vinaigrette is my personal favourite.
01:28It's basically a French dressing.
01:30So drizzled over a salad on a hot day like today.
01:33But in the winter, you cannot beat roast potatoes roasted in the oil.
