00:01Around 450,000 people who are already facing famine and enduring horrific levels of violence in Sudan

00:10have been forced to flee from the El, Fasher and Zamzam camps in the last few weeks.

00:17In Tawila alone, 300,000 people have arrived in the last week alone.

00:23We send our children to chase after the truck distributing food just so that we can have something to eat.

00:30We don't even have access to clean water or basic sleeping materials like masks or mattresses.

00:36They stole seven of our donkeys. We are in a dark situation, especially with the children.

00:41The upcoming rainy seasons can make convos like this coming from Chad extremely difficult as roads become impossible.

00:48The World Food Programme has been mobilising assistance to reach people across different parts of Darfur and northern states.

00:55This season is just around the corner, and we're in a race against time to pre-position food in areas that will be cut off when the rains come.

01:04During the rains last year, we saw a major surge in hunger and in disease outbreaks.

01:09At the moment, we're reaching four million people, but we need to scale that up to reach at least seven million people in the coming months.

01:17In order to do that, we need more funding. Otherwise, we'll be cutting support at the very time when we need to be scaling up.

01:24Two years of war has turned down into the worst-largest hunger catastrophe, and famine is spreading.
