00:00Imagine living, working, and studying in a brand-new, ultra-safe, massive entertainment city
00:06three times the size of Paris, where you literally can never run out of things to do and places to go.
00:13A place that is littered with all sorts of entertainment, sports, and art venues that are futuristic,
00:19sophisticated, and luxurious, with nice and warm weather year-round.
00:24Sounds like a far-fetched dream.
00:26However, this is exactly what the Saudi government is building right outside its capital, Riyadh,
00:32at the cost of $75 billion.
00:35This amazing mega-entertainment city named Qidiyah includes the world's largest everything,
00:41such as a water park, theme park, sports arenas including racing tracks, swimming pools, gyms, libraries,
00:48education and innovation centers, art galleries and museums, orchestra house, dining and retail outlets,
00:55hotels, and you name it that makes it a paradise for people of all ages and families.
01:00We literally do not know of any mega-entertainment project to compare it with,
01:05so here are the details of the stunning Qidiyah Entertainment City.
01:12Saudi Arabia is fun, progressive, prosperous, and luxurious, and it is not short on entertainment venues.
01:19However, it has a big problem.
01:22The population of its amazing capital, Riyadh, has exploded over the past decade
01:26and is now set to hit 8 million people in 2024.
01:31Additionally, the city receives an average of 5 million tourists per year, and rising.
01:37And its population is rich and young.
01:40Nearly 70% of the population is middle or upper class,
01:44and 65% are below the age of 26.
01:48This has led the government to heavily invest in the city
01:51and turn it into a truly amazing world-class city.
01:55However, the city needs to keep up with the exploding and rising demand
01:59for entertainment, sports, and arts.
02:02As a result, and as part of the Saudi 2030 vision,
02:05which includes turning the country into a global technology,
02:09tourism, transportation, commercial, and industrial hub,
02:13the decision was made to build the colossal, one-of-a-kind Qidiyah Entertainment City
02:18right outside of Riyadh.
02:20In a nutshell, once completed,
02:22Qidiyah will be the largest hub of entertainment, sports, and the arts,
02:27not just in the Middle East, but also in the whole world.
02:31So what is the Qidiyah Project?
02:32It is a very expensive and innovative mega-entertainment project
02:37being established outside of Riyadh.
02:39It is owned and developed by the Qidiyah Investment Company,
02:43which is a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund,
02:46which is owned and funded by the Saudi government.
02:49The location of the project is also quite unique.
02:52The distance from the center of Qidiyah to downtown Riyadh is 45 kilometers,
02:57and 70 kilometers to King Khalid International Airport,
03:01which is one of the top five largest and most sophisticated international airports in the world.
03:06The Qidiyah Project site has unique geographical characteristics with mountainous terrains,
03:12making it perfect for adventurous sports and outdoor activities.
03:15Let's now talk about some fun.
03:17And what we mean by that is the massive theme and water parks in Qidiyah.
03:22Because at the end of the day, no matter how great an entertainment city is,
03:26it would be without a soul if it did not include a water park and theme park
03:30with some instance roller coasters.
03:33Mind you that we did a video just about Qidiyah's $750 million water park,
03:38so make sure to check it out.
03:40Let's start with Six Flags Qidiyah
03:42and the insane, unparalleled, almost complete Falcon's flight roller coaster.
03:47Six Flags Qidiyah will be the world's largest theme park
03:50and will cost an excess of $1 billion,
03:54making it one of the most expensive to ever build.
03:57The theme park spans nearly 80 acres and includes six lands,
04:02the City of Thrills, Steamtown, Discovery Springs, Valley of Fortune,
04:07Twilight Gardens, and Grand Exposition.
04:10It will feature 35 major world-class rides,
04:14with many designed exclusively for Saudi Arabian culture.
04:18And of course, the flagship will be the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster
04:22called the Falcon's Flight.
04:25As of the time of making this video,
04:26most of the rides and roller coaster tracks have been installed.
04:30The massive steel structure will be the world's tallest freestanding coaster structure
04:34at a whopping 160 meters.
04:38The length of this coaster is quite insane
04:40and stands at a little over 4 kilometers.
04:44Even the speed is a little too crazy
04:46since it can reach speeds over 250 kilometers per hour
04:49and utilize LSM launch technology.
04:52If you have a weak stomach and prefer to stay on the ground,
04:55then you can simply go to the nearby $750 million Kidia Water Park,
05:01which spans more than 62 acres
05:03and features 23 major truly unique rides.
05:07Seven of the rides will be world premieres,
05:09and it will be the world's only water theme park,
05:12with a unique mix of dry and wet attractions
05:15and national competition-level centers for water sports enthusiasts.
05:19This amazing water park is being built by
05:22Alec Saudi Arabia Engineering and Contracting
05:25and El Seif Engineering Contracting.
05:27And just like the theme park,
05:29it is expected to be fully operational sometime in 2024.
05:34It will boast nine designated themed areas,
05:37Entry Gate, Camel Rock, Dub Grotto, Wave Wadi,
05:41The Den, Viper Canyon, Arabian Peak,
05:44The Herding Grounds, and Surf Lagoon.
05:47And of course, it will reflect the rich local culture.
05:50In addition to rides and attractions,
05:52the park will also contribute to sustainability,
05:55using advanced environmental systems
05:57to significantly reduce water consumption,
05:59compared to other water parks.
06:01Kidia will include numerous other massive and unique attractions
06:05that include hundreds of venues and major facilities
06:09designed to keep seekers of a life full of thrills,
06:13sports, adrenaline rush, education, art,
06:16and innovation busy and satisfied without end.
06:20It will include the iconic Jack Nicklaus Championship golf course,
06:24which will be surrounded by the beautiful grandeur
06:26of the Kidia countryside and the majestic Tuwake Mountain.

06:35are also under construction.
06:37Not to mention the Speed Park,
06:38which is based on the architectural idea of the slipstream,
06:42which creates a dynamic shape,
06:43and a unique visual image,
06:46while enhancing the sound experience of the race cars.
06:49This Speed Park features a racetrack
06:51with FIA Grade 1 certification,

07:22which offers elevation changes.
07:24With constant steering and small straights,
07:26drivers simply cannot rest a little bit,
07:28which offers a huge challenge.
