00:00There are four seats in Queensland where I can guarantee change.
00:07Not because I have a magic crystal ball, but by the simple fact that the sitting MP is retiring.
00:12They are the LNP's Karen Andrews in McPherson on the Gold Coast.
00:17Labor's Graham Perrett in Moreton in Brisbane South East.
00:20The LNP's stalwart Warren Ench in Leichhardt in Far North Queensland.
00:24And the seat of Hinkler in Bundaberg has been vacant since Keith Pitch resigned in January.
00:30So there will be new members of parliament in those electorates.
00:34Let's zoom in now to Dixon.
00:36It is Queensland's most marginal seat.
00:39Very high profile because it's held by the man who wants to be Prime Minister.
00:44Peter Dutton's held that seat on Brisbane's north-western outskirts since 2001.
00:49Labor's Ailey France is running against him for the third time.
00:53But it's that narrow margin that adds a certain suspense.
00:57There's also lots of interest in these three seats.
01:01Brisbane, Ryan and Griffith.
01:03They were won by the Greens in the last election.
01:06An unprecedented result for the party.
01:08But Labor and the LNP are desperate to wrest them back.
01:12The next thing I want to mention is the so-called Teals.
01:16These Climate 200 backed independents burst onto the scene in Victoria and New South Wales
01:22at the last election.
01:23And now they're trying to make a foray into Queensland.
01:26With six candidates contesting seats in the south-east.
01:30It remains to be seen what influence they will have.
01:33Now, as part of the ABC's Your Say project, you've been telling us about the issues that matter to you this election.
01:41Among the top concerns from Queensland were, probably no surprise, housing and cost of living.
01:47But also climate change, economic policies and healthcare.
01:51Rental costs are top of mind for Chris from Pimpermar.
01:55My biggest concern really is housing.
01:58My youngest son moved back in with us in January because he wasn't able to secure or afford an apartment for rent on the Gold Coast.
02:05So he moved back in to home at 28 years old.
02:09Meanwhile, Hassam from Algester told us he's worried about the environment.
02:14Well, I'm in my early 30s.
02:17My partner and I, we're thinking of starting a family.
02:19But I have some real concerns around the type of environment, the type of world that our kids are going to grow up in.
02:25If you haven't voted yet, you haven't got long.
02:28Soperes has moved back in with us from time to time.
02:32M наверное?
02:33I don't want to see the next day.
