00:24This year, the graduating Alabama class of 2025 has over 6,600 graduates.
00:31You're the largest class in school history.
00:34Among your ranks are among the 800 first-generation college students
00:39and nearly 3,000 students from right here in the great state of Alabama.
00:45Amazing.
00:51And this class also includes many Rhodes Scholars, Goldwater Scholars,
00:56213 Merit Scholars, and over 1,500 students graduating with red caps.
01:03You know what that signifies? 4.0 GPA.
01:07That's a lot of students.
01:10Congratulations as well to the women's track and field team for winning two SEC titles this year.
01:20That's something.
01:21As long as I'm president, we will always protect women's sports.
01:27Men will not play in women's sports.
01:37No way.
01:38They say that's an 80-20 issue.
01:47No, it's a 97-3 issue, I think.
01:50No, men will not be playing in women's sports.
01:54I already, I said that and I classified it with a very powerful executive order.
02:00As you know, it's done.
02:09We're here for three months, a little bit more.
02:11But give me a break for the first month.
02:12You know, had to get a little acclimated.
02:14Had to see where the enemy lies, because they're already looking to impeach Trump.
02:17You know, these crazy people.
02:19Let's impeach him.
02:20For what?
02:21No, exactly.
02:22But we'll try it.
02:23These people are crazy.
02:25So we had to, you know, get our bearings for the first couple of weeks.
02:28My years here, there was lots of Auburn, baby.
02:31So a big road tie, big road team.
02:35But they have to let us do the job that the voters want us to do.
02:39Judges are interfering, supposedly based on due process.
02:43But how can you give due process to people who came into our country illegally?
02:47They want to give them due process.
02:49I don't know.
02:50You learned a lot about winning here in Alabama, and now we need you to help win for America.
03:07For the business majors here today, I challenge you not merely to use your talents for financial
03:14speculation, but to apply your great skills that you've learned and had to forging the
03:20steel and pouring the concrete of new American factories, plants, shipyards, and even cities,
03:25which are going up all over our country.
03:28Don't just build a strong portfolio.
03:31Build a very, very strong America.
03:33And you're going to do that.
03:34To the engineers, brilliant you are, technicians, scientists, and math majors, we need your Alabama
03:50spirit and competition to keep our country at the forefront of every single domain.
03:56America should have the world's tallest buildings, design the fastest airplanes, build the greatest
04:02cars, do everything the absolute best, better than any other nation in the world, and you
04:07can do it.
04:08And we will soon land American astronauts on Mars.
04:11That will happen.
04:12That will happen.
04:13That will happen.
04:21In every field you have studied, there are problems to be solved and breakthroughs to be
04:26made.
04:27To the journalism majors, of which I've had a lot of problems with.
04:33I must be honest.
04:34I'm not sure I like them.
04:35No, I do.
04:36I do.
04:37But you're really leading a very thing because we need a great and free press.
04:41We need a brilliant press.
04:42They're like a watch keeper.
04:44They're very important.
04:45And you can go out and take it down a new track.
04:48Help save the country.
04:50And I appreciate you guys for that.
04:53Okay?
04:54Seniors, proud of you guys.
04:56So to everyone here today, don't waste your youth.
05:00Go out and fight right from the beginning, from the day you leave this incredible university.
05:04Go out and fight, fight tough, fight fair.
05:08But go out and fight.
05:09You're going to be very successful because now is the time to work harder than you have
05:13ever worked before.
05:14Push yourself further than you have ever pushed yourself before.
05:19Find your limits and then smash through everything.
05:22Go and smash through.
05:24You've watched that football team smash through.
05:27You're going to do the same thing.
05:34But if your vision is right, nothing will hold you down.
05:40Nothing.
05:41You have to have the right vision.
05:43If you look at some of these internet people, I know so many of them.
05:47Elon is so terrific.
05:48But I know now all of them, you know, they all hated me in my first term.
05:53And now they're kissing my ass, you know?
05:55Do you understand?
05:56It's true.
05:57All of them.
05:58It's true.
05:59Graduates of the Alabama class of 2025 standing here before you in this magnificent arena, it
06:15is clear to see the next chapter of the American story will not be written by the Harvard
06:22Crimson.
06:23It will be written by you, the Crimson Tide.
06:26That's true.
06:27That's true.
06:28That's true.
06:29That's true.
06:30That's true.
06:31That's true.
06:32That's true.
06:33That's true.
06:34Let's go ahead.
06:36Thank you now.
06:40Great.
06:41Thank you all our very well .
06:44I always tell people that you need to be very wise about the goals that you Tan
06:48I always tell people that you need to be very wise about the goals that you set.
07:03But more importantly, you've got to define what do I need to do to accomplish those goals.
07:09That's called the process.
07:11The very things that you need to do on a day-to-day basis to be able to accomplish the goals that
07:15you have.
07:16You need to define that for yourself.
07:18And then you have to have the discipline to execute it every day.
07:21And I'm talking about self-discipline, because we make hundreds of decisions every day that
07:25come down to two questions.
07:27Here's something I know I'm supposed to do, that I really don't want to do.
07:31Can you make yourself do it?
07:32On this hand, there's something you know you're not supposed to do, but you want to do it.
07:36Can you keep yourself from it?
07:37If you can make those choices and decisions the right way, you'll be able to always make
07:43progress toward the goals and aspirations and things that you want to achieve.
