00:00I want to start by thanking my amazing team. I want to thank my agent, Natasha Allen, I want to thank James, Simon, Alison, Peter, my wife Sarah, and everybody who's gone on the X-room arm for me and worked so hard.
00:27It's a shame on this good day that we see so many committed conservative councillors lose their seats, but I think we can turn around and say we're getting Cambridgeshire and Peterborough moving.
00:42I want to thank my fellow candidates. Standing for public office is never easy. And putting yourself forward, especially now when you've got online criticism and scrutiny is a brave thing to do.
01:03But in this election, we've seen perhaps one of the most vindictive, wicked and personal elections we've seen in Cambridgeshire by the Labour Party.
01:15But as a result, they came third. Third. So it shows that Cambridgeshire has rejected that type of politics.
01:25But I also want to thank Nick Johnson for his four years of service and I wish you well in the future.
01:33But we turn a new page. Politics in Cambridge and Peterborough can be toxic, but no more. We start fresh.
01:41And guess what we're going to do? We're going to dual our A roads. We're going to connect our three cities by much faster trains.
01:48We're going to build live rail. We're going to put free parking in Peterborough. We're going to build a community stable.
01:53We're going to fix our roads, franchise our buses, free parking in St. Deops.
01:58We're going to do all of this and end the war on the motorists. We're going to get Cambridgeshire and Peterborough moving.
02:04There's lots to do. A lot of work to do. And we start that work straight away. But first, if you don't mind, I think I'm going to kiss my wife and have a drink.
