What’s cooking for dinner in the Duchess of Sussex’s kitchen? In this video, Nicole makes Meghan Markle’s pasta recipe using an unusual method for preparing the pasta noodles and sauce. The raw strands of pasta are cooked together with cherry tomatoes and olive oil, which gives the pasta water more starch for a creamier sauce. With added fresh greens, this is a delicious meal to enjoy in the summer.

00:00I'm trying out the ever so popular,
00:02yet slightly controversial, Meghan Markle pasta.
00:04It just starts out with fresh cherry tomatoes,
00:06lots of garlic, and lots of olive oil.
00:08Mind you, we haven't cooked anything yet,
00:09and the pasta goes straight in raw.
00:12Then lots of lemon zest.
00:13Now we go to the stove.
00:15Get it going and go ahead and pour the hot water over.
00:18Just enough to cover the pasta.
00:20I would've sauteed everything first,
00:22but I'm just trying to do it the way she did it.
00:24Don't be coming at me.
00:25The theory is, is everything cooks and comes together,
00:28that pasta water gets really starchy
00:29and you kind of create a creamy sauce.
00:31Covered for about six minutes
00:33and then uncovered for four to five minutes.
00:35It smells really good.
00:36So she did some peppery arugula.
00:38She did Swiss chard, but I'm gonna do spinach.
00:41Put this on.
00:41I'm getting less and less mad at it.
00:43She does say her kids love this.
00:45I don't know that all my kids would love this.
00:47I don't know guys, it looks pretty good.
00:50A little fresh herb.
00:51I'm not so sure about the show, but I'm liking the pasta.
00:56Super fresh.
00:57Lacks a little flavor, but all in all,
00:59I'd say it's the perfect summer pasta.
01:01Not gonna lie.
