00:00Good morning, good afternoon, good evening.
00:28This is Butch Bartolome of the Business Mentor Blog over Manila Times.
00:32Today, we have something like an interesting story of how two friends started the business,
00:41though the business initially went on, but again, they bumped again into another business,
00:50which is an interesting business because a lot of viewers, a lot of viewers, I'm sure,
00:55and they started in the place where it's the summer capital of the Philippines.
01:07Oh, you know that.
01:08So, the viewers, again, let's welcome Chris Santos and Casey Cuenca of Wingyard.
01:18Thank you very much, Chris and Casey, for joining me in this Business Mentor.
01:23Thank you. Good morning to you.
01:25Hi, Paul. Good morning, Paul. Thank you, D. Paul.
01:28So, Chris at Casey, paano ba kayo nagsimula mag-negosyo?
01:35Ang anong negosyo na, paano kayo nagsimula?
01:38In other words, you're friends, but you are, you started talking.
01:42Ganun ba yun? Paano yun?
01:43Casey, kano'ng starter.
01:47Ay, sinong may limauna.
02:14Tapos, eh, mahilig kami noon mag-bar.
02:17So, ang ginawa namin is Resto Bar.
02:20Yun yung first business namin, Resto Bar.
02:23So, yung Resto Bar.
02:24Si Chris naman, ano naman ang background mo you are prior to starting a business with Casey?
02:32Um, ano po ako talaga is registered nurse by profession.
02:39Pero, like, ilang years lang ako naging nurse sa Baguio po.
02:44And after that, I went to Manila para mag-persona man in a different career, which is marketing.
02:50Then, um, medyo nag-struggle ako regarding my career sa Manila.
02:54I went back to Baguio.
02:55And then, that's where I met Casey po.
02:58Doon mo kami nag-usap na regarding, parang gusto namin mag-business na,
03:01since si Casey is, ang background niya is sa, ano, sa food po.
03:06Culinary.
03:07Yeah, may background siya sa culinary.
03:08Culinary. Okay.
03:10So, mag-come up na lang sa restaurant.
03:14So, bakit mo binitawan ang pagiging nurse mo?
03:18Ano ba ang challenging na aspect, Chris, sa...
03:2230.
03:57So, parang there's always a crossroad, no, sa buhay ng taon, di ba?
04:00Parabang, eto yung gusto mo, biglang all of a sudden, nag-turn right, turn left, hindi mo alam po, nasa straight, di ba?
04:07So, but Casey, ano naging passion mo?
04:38Ah, okay. Was it easy to start?
04:41Did you ever realize yung passion mo and then the same time studying culinary?
04:46Ano ba, nagkaroon ng alignment ka ba or you almost gave up culinary?
04:51Was there a point in time?
04:54Ang first, ano ko po kasi, course is architecture.
04:59Tapos, yes, okay.
05:31Yan.
05:33So, alam mo, a lot of our viewers are also having the same situation.
05:37Di ba, yung bang change of career, you know, profession, and then all of a sudden finding your why.
05:44You know, hindi ba yung bang sinasabi natin, ano ba talagang aking ikasaya, no?
05:51Para bang si Crazy at si Chris ay iba-iba.
05:55But, how did you ever meet in common?
05:58Parang kayo nag...
05:59Kasi may mga friends, no?
06:00May mga, siyempre, mga barkada, mga friends, mga ganyan.
06:03How did you ever do the clicking of in-business?
06:07Paano yun, Chris?
06:17Parang yung term po namin lagi ni Casey is hinan niya.
06:50Some of those are my ideas.
06:52Pero siya yung gumagawa, parang, okay, I have this recipe, I have this idea.
06:56Siya naman yung mag-gagawa nung...
06:58Nung, ano, yung product.
07:00Product, oo.
07:01So, na-fit kami kasi we balance, nagpa-balance kami na since ako yung brain, siya yung skills.
07:07Maganda po yung combination.
07:10Okay.
07:10Hindi lang, parang, since the talk, I don't recall this, mas na mamag-define namin kung saan kami magaling.
07:34Yung hindi yung what is now.
07:36Pero yung proseso, paano yun?
07:37Nadaan lang sa kwentuhan at naging seryosohan na.
07:40Ganun ba, Casey?
08:05So, yun yun yung, you want to be liberated, in other words.
08:08Yes, po.
08:09You run your own time, di ba?
08:11Ganun kay si Chris?
08:12Yes, po.
08:12So, yun ang ano doon.
08:14Okay, so, yun, nagkwentuhan.
08:26Yung wing yard po is unlimited wings with 10 flavors to choose from.
08:32So, we started po sa 199 noong 2018.
08:362018 kami nag-start.
08:37And that time, nag-boom na po yung unlimited wings sa Metro Manila lang.
08:42Pero sa Baguio, wala pa.
08:43Parang there are some, pero expensive siya.
08:46Parang nag-re-range sa 300 to 500.
08:49And since parang kami noon, noong nag-research kami, and our target market that time is students.
09:08But the quality and the quantity is the same.
09:16So, paano yung crazy?
09:18Paano yung fenormilate?
09:19Ayan, this is now your signature, I'm sure.
09:21Yung recipe na sinasabi mo.
09:23Paano ka nag-develop ng product?
09:25Yan.
09:25Paano mo ginawa yun?
10:20Actually, yun po yung madugo is the costing.
10:23Even if you have the concept, ang mahirap is the costing and the budget.
Parang gano'n.
11:01So, yun, nagkaroon kayo ng parang inayos nyo muna yung mga recipe nyo, inayos nyo muna yung menu,
11:08pero yung target market at saka location.
11:10Ako, Casey, paano kayo naghanap ng location?
11:13Alam mo naman, parati sa negosyo, sasabihin nila,
11:16the key to business is location, location, location.
11:19Tama.
11:19Yes, sir.
11:34So, lahat magugusayin yung chicken, bata man matanda.
11:57So, we were talking about the location, no?
11:59Paano po, I mean, you have the concept, you have the idea.
12:03Alam mo yung target market mo, may product ka.
12:07Yes, sir.
12:07Ngayon ang big question eh.
12:08Paano ngayon ilalagay ang inyong resto?
12:12Yan.
12:13So, sino nakaanap ng location?
12:14Casey or Chris or ano?
12:16Pareho po kami.
12:18Pareho po.
12:19Nagsaskout po kami every time ng mga location po.
12:24Bagong building po kasi siya that time.
12:43But, um, ni-risk po namin yung time na yun kasi for us, I think yun yung bagong building that time.
12:51And, um.
12:51May school na malapit din po.
12:53May school din naman po na malapit.
12:55And, yung importance po talaga ng location is dapat number one.
12:59Pero hindi namin siya kinonsider before.
13:01No first po.
13:03Okay.
13:04Bakit?
13:04Bakit hindi nyo kinonsider?
13:06What was your, uh, kumbaga, reason?
13:10Ano?
13:10Excuse mo?
13:11Hindi natin kukonsider yung location.
13:13Bakit?
13:13I don't know.
13:26Na dadayuhin kami at that time.
13:27Yun po yung concept namin.
13:28Kasi gusto namin magpakilala nun through our sources.
13:32So, our main product is our sources.
13:36Dun po kami nag-isip na, okay, sige.
13:38For this time, since ang budget natin is limited, we can't afford sa Central Business District.
13:43Dito muna kami, mapapakilala muna si Winniart.
13:45And then, dun yung second branch, dun na po kami nag-focus sa, okay, we need a new location.
13:50Good location.
13:51Na natataanan tayo.
13:53Dun po nabuo yung branch ng Session Road.
13:56Bakit? Bakit? Ano nangyari?
13:58Did you transfer from the first to the second to the present store?
14:02We opened a new branch po.
14:04I opened a new branch.
14:05After two months, we opened a second branch.
14:08Kasi tumaas na po yung competition that time.
14:10Nung nakikilala kami, parang after a month, nagkaroon din ng sampung competitors.
14:15Wow. After one month, gano'ng kabilis, ha?
14:20Sampu angad ang dumami, no?
14:23Parang sanggip sal po, gano'n po.
14:25Dumating ko kami sa Baguio.
14:27Sunod-sunod na rin po sila.
14:29So, anong feeling yung dalawa?
14:31I mean, kinabahan ba kayo?
14:35Or ayoko na, talo na tayo?
14:37Ano ba ang naging feeling ninyong dalawa?
14:40Nung time naman na po noon, na-challenge kami.
14:43Kaya po kami nag, we had to open a new branch sa session na.
14:48Kasi lahat ng competition namin is nandoon.
15:04Kasi we continue, eh.
15:05Kailangan namin i-continue yung pagpapakilana kasi bago pa lang kami.
15:08Parang magte-three months pa lang po kami nung nag-second branch kami.
15:12Kasi grabe na po yung competition nun.
15:14Napfeel na namin na, okay, medyo bumababa yung sales.
15:17Pwede nilang, pwede makalimutan na tayo ng customers.
15:20Kasi mas malapit yung mga competitors namin.
15:24So, we decided na, okay, we need to open a second branch sa session mismo.
15:34So, doon po kami nag, that's why we ended up in a second branch.
15:38You invested on the second branch because of your earnings of the first.
15:42Ni Roll, ni Roll.
15:44Pero was it easy to find the locations sa session?
15:50Central Business District.
15:51O, yan.
15:53Paano kayong nakakuha ngayon?
15:55Siguro, up and down kayo ng session, di ba?
15:58Para bang lumaki na yung mga muscles nyo kakalakad up and down.
16:03Okay.
16:10I love that.
16:10I love what you said that.
16:12Kilalanin ang mga-ari ng building.
16:15Alright.
16:15Yes po.
16:17Ganong katagal ninyo ginawa yan?
16:23Like what?
16:23Three months po.
16:25Bago po kami na-approve, no?
16:27Apo, three months.
16:28Para ma-
16:29Ma-
16:31Ma-
16:32Ma-
16:32Kuhan nila kami.
16:33Kasi ang dami pong, ano yun, namin pong nag-
16:36Parang three years po siyang silang naghahanap.
16:39Nang tenant.
16:40Tenant doon.
16:41So, lahat pinifilter nila.
16:43So, kailangan po namin i-prove na we deserve the spot.
16:47Para ano.
16:48Yun.
16:49So, you're not-
16:50Kasi may mga tao na they use brokers, agents, di ba?
16:55To look for location.
16:56Pero you did it really talagang na-spot may location.
17:01Pero itong may-ari, very selective, di ba?
17:05Three years.
17:06Wow, three years, ha?
17:07In other words, the owner doesn't really need the money.
17:23I mean, you know, when you talk to owners kasi,
17:26it's either they don't know you really, number one.
17:30And what business are you having?
17:32Anong ba mga tinanong pa bukod dyan?
17:34Nung may-ari.
17:34I'm not sure.
17:35Actually, nag-research din siya sa vineyard.
17:37Every day siyang pumupunta sa branch namin.
17:40It's the first branch.
17:41So, nagtataka siya that time.
17:43Bakit ano bang meron?
17:44Bakit kayo pinipilahan?
17:45Kasi nung time na yun talaga pong,
17:46since maliit yung space namin,
17:48we cannot accommodate everyone.
17:50That's why talaga may pila kami.
17:51Parang ang kaya lang ng store namin is nasa 40 packs.
17:55So, every two hours, may pila kami.
17:58That's why yun po yung naku-curious siya that time
18:00na parang yung owner mismo ng building
18:02is pumupunta sa amin na parang anong meron?
18:05Bakit kayo pinipilahan?
18:06He also tried our food.
18:08So, doon po ako talagang pinakita ko na
18:11we can bring that to your building.
18:13We can bring customers to your building.
18:15We can help the other tenants also
18:18na maging customers nila.
18:19Since their building is...
18:20Bawa.
18:21So, para bang nagkaroon ng investigating.
18:24Sino ba itong mga wing yard na ito?
18:27At...
18:27Believe din ako sa may-ari.
18:29Kasi magandayan na.
18:31Kasi that's another tip.
18:32Yung mga tao may-ari, mayroong location.
18:35Eh, huwag lang kayong tanggap ng tanggap.
18:37Kasi for the money.
18:38Kasi it's the value of the building.
18:40Correct?
18:40Sabi mo, Chris, no?
18:41Gusto niya magkaroon ng value,
18:43yung mga tenants, no?
18:44Siguro, ang ginawa niya,
18:46eh, you know,
18:47pumupunta siya.
18:48Hindi lang once, no?
18:50Nag-try-punch siya ng product, no?
18:52So, finally,
18:54nagkaroon na kayo ng signing ng lease.
18:56O, ngayon.
18:57Anong result?
18:58Was it bigger?
18:58This is a bigger store?
19:00Yes.
19:01Yes, times three po.
19:03Wow, times three.
19:05And do I assume that the crowd is also times how many?
19:10Times three din po.
19:11Times three din.
19:14So, sabi mo, nung araw,
19:1640 packs lang ang,
19:1740 customers lang ang na-accommodate.
19:20This time, you're talking what?
19:21How many people?
19:22150 po.
19:25150 packs na po.
19:27And...
19:28Full house.
19:28Is it always...
19:30Every two hours po.
19:31Yes po.
19:33Especially weekends po.
19:34Lunch and dinner.
19:36Eh, what about summer?
19:38What about summer?
19:39Pag-summer diyan sa Baguio,
19:40I'm sure.
19:41Di ba?
19:42It's a very crowded place.
19:44Di ba?
19:45Yes.
19:46Ganong karami ang taang...
19:48How fast can you serve?
19:51Ngayon.
19:51To accommodate the 150 packs.
19:54Ah, pang two hours lang po siya.
19:57Yung 150 packs po.
19:59So, parang...
20:01Yes po.
20:02Pag full house.
20:02Anong oras bukas ang Wingyard?
20:04From what time?
20:0610 a.m. to 9 p.m. po.
20:09So, ang total customers a day namin is umaabot sa...
20:12Pwede 1,000 po.
20:15Pinang matasap ko na 1,000 a day po.
20:181,000 people a day.
20:21Yes po.
20:22Sino-sino mga customers ng Wingyard yan?
20:25Anong mga profile niyan?
20:27Is it the original that you wanted in the first place?
20:30Mga estudyante?
20:33At yun na po talaga is students, young professionals,
20:37and mga families since we are a community restaurant.
20:40Ang tinatarget po talaga namin is yung mga budget.
20:45Yung mga nagbabudget po talaga.
20:46Since nasa sabihin naman kami,
20:48madami rin pong schools doon and mga offices.
20:51Na sila po talaga yung main...
20:54naging main customer ni Wingyard.
20:56Weekend po is...
20:57Weekend na po yung mga family.
20:59Usually, pag may mga birthdays,
21:01yung mga gusto mga katipid,
21:03at makasulit po talaga.
21:05So, this is the...
21:06Just...
21:07They go there,
21:08they eat there,
21:13Sino ba nag-design nun?
21:14Si Casey o si Chris?
21:16Na hindi masyadong malapad,
21:18hindi masyadong ma-exy.
21:19Yung mga signature ng Wingyard.
21:22Kaming dalawa po.
21:23Kaming dalawa po.
21:24Parang dati,
21:26iniisip po namin na
21:27if they're too comfortable,
21:29tataga sila.
21:31Sasandal po sa mga kapag-rest po sila.
21:33Parang hiradiretso lang po yung kain.
21:35Yung mga points ng mga high-end
21:39na parang they usually be comfortable
21:41para kumaan.
21:42Yung sa amin naman po,
21:43since nadami kaming customer,
21:46kailangan namin i-maximize yung space namin
21:49para accommodate namin lahat.
21:52Plus, yung, yun nga po,
21:54yung chairs namin,
21:55walang sandalan para...
21:58Hindi nga sila comfortable.
22:00So, hindi nga pwede sumandal,
22:02baka bumagsakaan.
22:03Isipin lang nila mabusog sila.
22:05So, this is innovation.
22:09Innovation, right?
22:10Chris, Casey,
22:11innovation yung ginawa ninyo, no?
22:13You had, you observed the store,
22:15but is it the same store?
22:17Is it the same design
22:18from the first branch ninyo?
22:20Or is this now the innovation
22:22you implemented on the second branch?
22:24And you know, same, actually.
22:26Same pa rin po.
22:27Yung concept po.
22:28Same pa rin po.
22:30So, pag nakakita ka ng upo,
22:33ano yan?
22:33Upuan or is it a bench type?
22:36Stool.
22:37Stool po.
22:39Stool.
22:39Stool.
22:40Aba, talagang,
22:41kumbaga makaka-commodate
22:43ng 1,000 customers.
22:45Ano, talagang,
22:46nagkaka...
22:48But, is there...
22:50What is the atmosphere
22:51that you created
22:52sa vineyard?
22:55Yung industrial po.
22:56Nung time kasi
22:57nang binubuo namin
22:59sa vineyard,
23:00yun lang,
23:00noong 2018,
23:01doon po nagbo-boom
23:02yung industrial concept
23:03ng minimalist.
23:05So, doon po kami
23:05nag-focus na
23:06kaya po may malakit
23:07kaming vineyard marquee sign.
23:10Ang focus namin ni Casey
23:11is kahit saan
23:12side ka mag-picture,
23:13kahit ano,
23:14makikita yung name na.
23:15Ito si vineyard.
23:16It's a marketing strategy also
23:18na nasa loob
23:19yung signage namin
23:20na kahit okay,
23:21kahit anong side ako,
23:22ang angulo ko,
23:23makikita yung pangalan namin.
23:25So, yun po talaga
23:26yung tinarget namin.
23:27Okay, parang hindi nags
23:28na magtatanang,
23:28saan ka kumain?
23:29Ah, yun,
23:29when you are.
23:30They don't have to ask
23:31na sa mga nakikita na
23:32sa pictures.
23:33Andun na mismo sa pictures.
23:34Kasama po sa pictures lagi.
23:36Yun po talaga
23:37yung tinarget namin
23:38before na.
23:39Paano tayo magpapakilala
23:40sa atol?
23:41Na hindi pinupush
23:42ng mga tao
23:43na upapicture kaya
23:44sa may signage namin.
23:45Usually kasi ganun eh.
23:46Pero hindi.
23:47Ngayon po,
23:48since nasa gitna
23:48yung pangalan namin,
23:49kahit saan sila magpicture,
23:51may pangalan kami.
23:52So, yun po yung naging
23:53strategy namin
23:54na naging minimalist
23:56na in a way
23:57na mas magfocus sila
23:58sa pangalan namin.
24:00Hindi sa kung anumang
24:00decide na
24:01nasa loob ng restaurant.
24:03Alam mo,
24:04ang ginawa ninyo,
24:05talagang you listen to,
24:06you listen,
24:07you observe,
24:09and you acted.
24:10Hindi yung
24:11you listen,
24:12you observe,
24:13tapos-tapos na.
24:14Di ba?
24:15Ang ginawa ninyo is,
24:16you did what
24:17the customers
24:18and how you can
24:19propagate
24:20the brand.
24:21Di ba?
24:22Imagine mo,
24:22kasi may mga
24:23may mga stores
24:24na mamamatay ka,
24:26baka malaglag ka pa
24:26dahil magpapa-selfie ka.
24:28Di ba?
24:28Instagram,
24:29Paul,
24:30di ba?
24:30You captured
24:32the customers
24:33as customers
24:34take photos.
24:36Di ba?
24:36Yan ang nanonotice nyo.
24:37Have you noticed
24:37your customers
24:38love to be taken?
24:40You know,
24:40mga selfies.
24:42Have you noticed that?
24:43Di ba?
24:43Kahit mga
24:44older generation,
24:45gusto nilang mag...
24:46Bakit kaya?
24:47Ano nakikita nila?
24:48Anong reason kaya?
24:49Chris or...
24:51No,
24:52nouna po,
24:53so,
24:54wala po po kasi
24:54nagpipicture per customer noon.
24:56Yun po yung ginawa rin po
24:57naming marketing
24:58dun sa first branch po namin.
25:01So,
25:01yung mga bata po,
25:02tuwan-tuwan
25:03pag napipicture po sila.
25:05Ah,
25:05teka,
25:05teka,
25:06sandali.
25:06This is now
25:07not customers
25:08taking pictures
25:10of themselves,
25:10no?
25:11Yes po.
25:11But you have...
25:13You're doing it
25:14for your customers.
25:15Yes po.
25:16For another strategy na na...
25:17Alam mo,
25:18kayong mga,
25:18kayong partners
25:19talaga,
25:19nag-synergistic
25:20ang movement ninyo,
25:22no?
25:22Para nag-isang brain,
25:25no?
25:26So,
25:27bakit nyo naisip ito?
25:28Bakit tayong kukuha
25:30ng pictures
25:31ng customers kaya?
25:32Noong first post,
25:33ang customer po talaga
25:36namin
25:36is mga bata po.
25:37So,
25:38before,
25:39pag na sa bar po,
25:40pag napicturean ka po,
25:41parang tuwan-tuwa po,
25:42natutuwa po
25:43yung mga tao,
25:43ganyan.
25:44Dinala po namin
25:45sa restaurant.
25:47Tapos,
25:48lahat po,
25:48pipicturean po namin.
25:49Pero first,
25:50tatanoyin po muna namin sila
25:51kung okay lang,
25:52picturean,
25:53tapos ipopost.
25:54Pag pumayag dun po,
25:55dun na po yung posting.
25:57Tapos,
25:57ipopost na po namin
25:58sa Facebook.
25:58Mahitita po nila yung photo nila.
26:01Matutuwa po sila,
26:02may likes na po yung page namin,
26:04at saka yung picture po nila.
26:05May comments pa po.
26:07Tapos,
26:07dun na po nadadagdagan may,
26:09saan yan,
26:09saan yan,
26:10nakikilala na po si Wingyard.
26:12Yun pa yung approach na.
26:14Oo,
26:14nag-organic,
26:15parang merong hashtag saan yan.
26:17Parang merong hashtag saan yan.
26:19Diba?
26:20Parang ganun,
26:21diba?
26:21Parang may game eh,
26:22eh, ikaw ba?
26:23Diba?
26:23Yan,
26:24ikaw ba?
26:25Diba?
26:25May mga game na ganun,
26:26diba ngayon?
26:27But ang ganda ng marketing stand ninyo,
26:30no?
26:30Because,
26:31you're not selling,
26:32you're not selling chickens.
26:34You're not selling wings.
26:35You're selling an experience,
26:37correct?
26:38Yes.
26:38You want customers to experience,
26:41kasi you can buy any chicken wings.
26:43You can go to any,
26:45only wings.
26:47Pero,
26:47a lot of people nowadays,
26:49it's actually what you're doing
26:50is very innovative,
26:51you know?
26:51Parang,
26:52eto yung tinatawag ko ngayon,
26:53franchise 2.0.
26:55You know?
26:56It's a combination of
26:57traditional,
26:59it's a combination of social,
27:01it's a combination of technology.
27:04Diba?
27:05Parang 2.0.
27:07Okay?
27:07Hindi na yung traditional na
27:09magluto ka ng monok,
27:10ilagay mo sa kanilang mesa,
27:12only,
27:13and they keep on asking,
27:14no?
27:14Iba na yun.
27:15Iba na ngayon na nagiging trend,
27:16no?
27:17So,
27:18where do you now plan
27:20to take wing yard?
27:21Yan?
27:22Ako!
27:22Is it,
27:23is the wings really ready to fly?
27:27Or,
27:28ano na ngayon ang wing yard?
27:30Ano na ang plano
27:30ng mag-partners na ito?
27:33Nung nag-start po kami
27:34mag-franchise,
27:36umabot na rin,
27:38nag-start lang po kami
27:39sa May Luzon area,
27:40and then,
27:40konti-konti na na po
27:41naming napapasok
27:42ang Metro Manila.
27:44So,
27:44I think that's our next goal.
27:46Since nag-start kami
27:47sa provinces,
27:48our next goal is
27:49ang Metro Manila.
27:50Um,
27:51also,
27:52meron na po kami
27:53bagong concept
27:53na from restaurant,
27:55magkakaroon kami ng
27:56um,
27:57mga,
27:58parang kiosos tayo.
28:00Um,
28:01online.
28:02Online.
28:03Yung next namin
28:04na ta-target na ni Casey
28:05since,
28:06um,
28:07ang hirap mag-invest
28:08sa restaurant.
28:09Ang dami yung gusto
28:09mag-invest sa vineyard,
28:11pero hindi po lahat
28:12kasi kaya na talaga
28:12mag,
28:13may budget
28:14for a restaurant.
28:15So,
28:16sabi,
28:16gusto naman nilang,
28:17gusto naman nilang
28:19magkaroon,
28:19at least kahit
28:20in-line man lang
28:21na for take-out
28:22and for delivery.
28:23So,
28:24yun po yung next namin
28:25na plan ni Casey.
28:26Yeah,
28:26totoo yan,
28:27no?
28:27Kasi right now,
28:28nowadays,
28:28location is difficult,
28:30no?
28:31Um,
28:32mahirap rin
28:33mangligaw
28:33ng may-are,
28:34no?
28:35Uh,
28:35gagaya ng ginawa,
28:37no?
28:37Chris?
28:38But,
28:38uh,
28:39again,
28:39it's also expensive,
28:41no?
28:41Expensive,
28:41no?
28:42To put up a restaurant.
28:44But what you,
28:44what you are doing now
28:45is really,
28:46uh,
28:47to come up
28:47into a location,
28:49um,
28:49again,
28:50affordable,
28:51uh,
28:51it's also a,
28:52uh,
28:52to-go,
28:53di ba?
28:53A product.
28:55Okay.
28:55So,
28:56ano nga yun
28:56ang nakikita nyo ngayon?
28:58um,
28:58wing yarn
28:59is now in,
29:01um,
29:01how many branches
29:02do you have right now?
29:03Have you expanded?
29:05Um,
29:0615 po.
29:07Total 15 na po.
29:0915 po.
29:11Ah,
29:1115.
29:12Okay.
29:13And,
29:13um,
29:14where can people
29:15get in touch with you?
29:16I mean,
29:16I'm sure,
29:17um,
29:18as they watch
29:19and they see
29:20the pictures
29:21and the video reels
29:23that we're going to
29:24include here,
29:24I'm sure,
29:25tatakawin talaga sila
29:27kasi,
29:27naku,
29:27grabe,
29:281,000 customers a day,
29:31not bad,
29:32di ba?
29:32And,
29:33uh,
29:33so,
29:34bali ngayon,
29:35the division of labor,
29:36yan.
29:36Paano kaya nagdi-division
29:38ng labor?
29:38Alam mo kasi,
29:39misa may mga partners,
29:40eh,
29:40ah,
29:41nag-aagawa ng,
29:42ano eh,
29:42ng puesto eh,
29:43no?
29:43How do you divide your work,
29:45ah,
29:45Chris and Casey?
29:48Ah,
29:48since si Casey po,
29:49in yes,
29:50magaling siya sa skills,
29:51siya sa kitchen po talaga,
29:52hawak niya ang kitchen,
29:54um,
29:54so,
29:54um,
29:54um,
29:55sorry,
29:56yun yung mga hawak niya.
29:57Pag regarding,
29:58let's say,
29:59may mga,
29:59ah,
29:59franchise na,
30:00na,
30:01they need help for training
30:02or may mga questions
30:04regarding the operations
30:06of the kitchen,
30:06si Casey po,
30:07nag-ahandle na.
30:08Ako naman po sa back office,
30:09sa accounting,
30:11sa marketing,
30:12marketing operations naman sa,
30:15ah,
30:16through,
30:16and management,
30:17sa akin naman po yun.
30:19So,
30:19dun po kami po,
30:19compromise.
30:20Before kasi,
30:21parang mix-mix yung roles namin.
30:23Nagkakagulo.
30:24Yes,
30:24we compromise.
30:25Kasi dahil na wala po kami,
30:27wala pa po kami yung team before.
30:29So,
30:30tulungan po talaga kami nun.
30:33Okay,
30:33maganda yun, ah,
30:34maganda yun.
30:35Baka may mga pictures kayo na,
30:36po,
30:37konti-konti lang kayo noon,
30:38ah,
30:38sa kumpisa.
30:39Meron nagmamap ng table,
30:41meron nga,
30:42nang mapap ng door,
30:43may nagluluto,
30:45may nagbabas ng table.
30:48Ah,
30:48gano'n ba yung,
30:49gano'n ba yung experience ninyo?
30:50Opo.
30:51Nung time na yun,
30:53talagang,
30:54sobrang hands-on kami.
30:55Kami ni Casey gumagawa ng sauce,
30:57si Casey yung nagluluto.
30:58At that time,
30:59ako yung cashier,
31:00ako yung waiter,
31:01ako din yung taga sauce.
31:03So, talagang,
31:04dalawa lang po talaga kami nung una.
31:07Talagang dalawa.
31:08Dalawa po.
31:10About 30 square meters po,
31:12dalawa po kami nagpapatakbo nun.
31:15So,
31:15mula,
31:16mula anong oras?
31:1710 o'clock na umaga,
31:18hanggang ano?
31:19Ah,
31:19nag-start na po kami ng 7 a.m. po,
31:21for the sauces.
31:23Hanggang 11 p.m. po.
31:25Yes.
31:267 a.m. to 11 p.m.
31:28I'm closing po.
31:29Mga,
31:29ilang buwan yung ginawa yan?
31:32Mga 2 months.
31:342 months po.
31:352 months po.
31:36So, yung 2 months na yun,
31:37I'm sure,
31:38you can't forget it, no?
31:40Hindi nyo makakalimutan yung experience.
31:42Kaling awal ang 2 months na yun.
31:45So,
31:452 months pa rin,
31:46nag-argue.
31:48Siguro,
31:48sasabihin ni Chris.
31:50Oo.
31:51Sinasabi mo kay Chris,
31:52kay Chris,
31:53kinasabi kay Casey,
31:54o,
31:54binis-binis ang mga pagluto.
31:56Si Casey naman,
31:57tinga muna.
31:58Di ba?
31:58Parang ganun ba yung bang?
31:59Sir.
32:01Di ba?
32:02Parang ikaw naman,
32:03ang daming-daming customers,
32:04siguro,
32:05halos kinakabahan ka,
32:07you know?
32:07Parang wow,
32:08ang daming pila.
32:09Di ba?
32:09Yung mga,
32:10you get that feeling na,
32:12ang daming customers,
32:13tama na.
32:14Tama na ho.
32:15Ganun ba yun?
32:17Kasi,
32:17daming pila.
32:19May oras po kami,
32:20nagko-close kami,
32:21parang,
32:22mag-replenish po
32:22ng product.
32:233 to 5 close kami,
32:25kasi hindi namin kaya talagang
32:26dire-direcho.
32:28Ah,
32:28so 3 to 5,
32:303 p.m.
32:30to 5 p.m.
32:31May break po.
32:32So, this is now,
32:33a time for rest,
32:34not replenishment.
32:36Nag-replenish din po.
32:38Yes.
32:39Nag-replenish din po.
32:40Mga sauces na...
32:42Ready-ready for dinner po,
32:43kasi marami na po ulit
32:44customer.
32:47Okay.
32:47So,
32:48ang plan namin before
32:49is to close,
32:50kasi kung dire-direcho,
32:51bibigay din po kami ni Casey
32:53nung time na yun.
32:54Hindi kami nakakakain.
32:55So, yun yung time na namin
32:56kumain,
32:57mag-replenish.
32:58Sabay-sabay na rin po
32:59nung time,
32:59nung break na yun.
33:01So, eto na yung naging,
33:02you started wearing
33:03a hat of a nurse, Chris.
33:06Oy,
33:07kain muna tayo,
33:07kasi, you know,
33:09dadami na yung tao.
33:10But anyway,
33:11what is now your,
33:12really your goal
33:13that you want to achieve
33:16this 2025?
33:17Ano ba ang goal
33:18ninyo
33:19sa Wingyard?
33:20Mag-ano po talaga?
33:25Magparami niyang branches.
33:27Yun talaga yung goal namin.
33:29Since,
33:30most of our branches
33:32nasa Luzon,
33:33that's one lang,
33:33isa pa lang po sa
33:34Danao.
33:37Ang goal namin is
33:38Luzon is
33:39for now.
33:40For now,
33:41national muna.
33:43And then,
33:43For now,
33:44national ha?
33:45Siguro next year,
33:46international.
33:47Yes po.
33:48Ay,
33:48galing,
33:49galing,
33:49galing.
33:49Yan ang gusto ko.
33:51Yan ang gangho talaga
33:53ang mga Filipino
33:54entrepreneurs,
33:55diba?
33:56So anyway,
33:57let's do a final tip.
33:59For a lot of viewers
34:01who are now watching you,
34:03ano yung mga tatlong
34:04advice ninyo?
34:06Yung mga gustong mag-partner,
34:08gustong maglagay
34:08ng negosyo,
34:10ano mga ano?
34:10Okay,
34:11Chris,
34:11ka muna.
34:12Ano mga papapayo mo?
34:14Ako po kasi risk taker talaga.
34:17So usually,
34:18ang advice gano'n po talaga
34:19is,
34:19pag magbe-business,
34:20is always take the risk
34:21with caution.
34:23I mean,
34:23pag nag-risk,
34:24parang kami,
34:25I always advise na,
34:27yung i-risk mong amount
34:28ng money
34:29is yung kaya mong
34:30mawala talaga.
34:31Since yung business po
34:32kasi is,
34:34parang,
34:34hindi siya ganong,
34:35let's say,
34:35hindi naman lahat
34:36ng business is
34:37nagpo-prosper.
34:39Parang for,
34:39na-champuhan lang talaga
34:41din namin ni Casey
34:42that time na,
34:43okay,
34:43yung business namin
34:45is talagang
34:45nag-boom siya.
34:46May mga,
34:48ang advice ko lang po
34:49kasi talaga,
34:50if,
34:50kasi baka mamaya,
34:51your whole savings
34:52ang nilagay mo dun,
34:53ang hirap bumangon ulit eh.
34:55So you have to,
34:56pag mag-aano ka ng business
34:57is,
34:58if you have a job,
34:58don't quit your job.
35:00Magtrabaho ka pa din
35:01while supporting
35:02your business.
35:02kasi ang hirap po,
35:03i-all out lahat,
35:05lalo na kung yun lang yung savings mo,
35:06ang hirap na ulit bumangon.
35:08Kaya that's why I'm saying na,
35:09yung i-risk mo lang
35:10yung kaya mong mawala
35:11para hindi siya ganon na,
35:14hindi siya ganon yung impact sa'yo
35:15pag hindi nag-prosper yung business mo.
35:17You can always find a new idea,
35:20a new concept
35:20para magkaroon ulit
35:23ng bagong business.
35:24Don't quit.
35:24Also,
35:25don't quit.
35:25Always trust po kay God
35:29yung business.
35:30Always offer your business
35:31and with the help of God
35:33and prayers.
35:34Yun din po yun.
35:36Pero maganda yung sinabi mo,
35:38don't put all your savings
35:39in the business.
35:41Kung pagka eh,
35:43wala nang kakainin
35:44yung pamilya mo
35:45at ikaw
35:46at walang kasiguruhan.
35:48There's really no success.
35:49The success lies
35:51in your effort,
35:52di ba?
35:53Plus,
35:53the faith
35:54and then the concept,
35:56di ba?
35:57You may have a hard,
35:58you may all do
35:59all the efforts
36:00but you don't have the
36:01concept that clicks
36:02with the trend,
36:04di ba?
36:04Yung ngayon,
36:05yung trend ng mga,
36:06kasi baka mamaya
36:07kung hindi nagugusta
36:09ng market.
36:09At the same time,
36:10I guess you're being
36:11innovative, no?
36:13Yung upuan lang eh,
36:14na ayaw mong
36:15tumagal ang customers
36:16at yung mesa
36:17na medyo ma-exape
36:18para hindi tumagal-tagal din,
36:20di ba?
36:21Yun.
36:21Okay,
36:22si ikaw naman,
36:23anong ma-advise mo?
36:25Ang ma-advise ko po
36:26sa mga,
36:27ano rin,
36:27my partners po is
36:29having a good communication po.
36:31To one and another.
36:32Kasi kung wala pong
36:33good communication,
36:35hindi po mag-work yung
36:36business,
36:37hindi po mag-garan
36:37ng maayos.
36:39Lalo na po
36:39pag hindi kayo
36:40nag-jive,
36:41kung lahat,
36:42kung gusto nyo,
36:42same ng ganito,
36:43hindi mo mag-work
36:45yung ganon.
36:45Nadadad po
36:46lahat sa magandang
36:47usapan,
36:48kung mag-garan.
36:48Oo,
36:50kasi maganda yan eh,
36:51dahil hindi lang kayo
36:52mag-partner
36:53in business,
36:55di ba?
36:55Yung through thick and thin,
36:57di ba?
36:57Rollercoaster,
36:58right?
36:58Right?
36:59I mean,
36:59I'm sure you agree on that,
37:00no?
37:01Being in business
37:02and being in partnership,
37:04rollercoaster yan.
37:06Hindi mo alam kung saan,
37:07up and down,
37:08up and down,
37:08biglang sudden twist,
37:09you know?
37:09I mean,
37:10parang ganon,
37:11no?
37:12But having
37:13complete understanding,
37:15di ba?
37:16Of course,
37:16there'll be,
37:17nagkakaroon naman kayo
37:18ng arguments,
37:19I'm sure.
37:19Hindi naman palating
37:20yes and yes si Chris
37:21or yes and yes si Casey,
37:23di ba?
37:23You have to put your own opinion
37:25for the common good.
37:27Yes po.
37:28So,
37:29mga ilan ang target
37:31kaya ng
37:31wing yard ngayon?
37:32Mga
37:33the next
37:34sabi nyo
37:35dumami,
37:37Chris.
37:38Mga ilan kaya,
37:39give me a figure
37:39that you are trying
37:40to claim.
37:42And for
37:43100 na po.
37:44100,
37:45okay,
37:47maganda yan.
37:47Magandang magic number yan,
37:49no?
37:50100 stores.
37:52Good.
37:52So,
37:53anyway,
37:54I know you're going to be
37:55preparing pa the chickens
37:56and Chris is going to
37:58prepare everything.
37:59Siguro naman,
38:00hindi ka na nasa
38:00counter ngayon,
38:02Chris,
38:02at si Casey naman
38:03is siguro
38:04nakaka-supervise pa rin,
38:06di ba?
38:07Yes po.
38:07So,
38:07yun.
38:08So,
38:08anyway,
38:09thank you very much
38:10for this time
38:10and really good luck
38:12to wing yard.
38:13More power,
38:14I'd like to see
38:16and update
38:17lalo-lalo na
38:18pag you're nearing
38:19the 100 stores
38:21and
38:22you never know,
38:25a big tycoon
38:26might be knocking
38:27on your door.
38:29Yeah.
38:32O,
38:33bakit?
38:34O,
38:34para napapagro.
38:35Question,
38:36if ever
38:37there's somebody
38:38wanting to buy you out,
38:41what's your opinion?
38:42Yeah.
38:44Or,
38:45mas malaking opportunity
38:46din po.
38:49Napopoint blank
38:50kayo,
38:50no?
38:50So,
38:51but it comes,
38:52you never know,
38:53you never know,
38:54no?
38:54Hindi mo rin naman
38:56tinatarget you,
38:57but there are people
38:57like the landlord
38:59that you have
39:00who keeps on visiting you,
39:02eh,
39:02nagkaroon ng taka,
39:03what's in it,
39:04no?
39:04What's in it?
39:05So,
39:06yeah,
39:07papano kayo
39:07mako-contact ba?
39:10I'm sure people
39:11will be asking,
39:12sampe itong
39:12wing yard na ito?
39:14Diyas sa Baguio,
39:15sampe yung
