00:00...or está sendo puxado para o Soltelake City.
00:02R$250,000.000,00.
00:04Drop that gate.
00:07Who gets the jump?
00:09Davies on the inside of Deegan.
00:12Moseman's there as well,
00:13but it's Cole Davies.
00:20Clears the pack.
00:21He's got his two teammates behind him.
00:24Phenomenal start from the young New Zealander.
00:26Yeah, absolutely incredible.
00:28Good start for all of these guys,
00:30and Cole was just able to edge him out.
00:33This is going to be a lot of fun to watch right here.
00:37Listening to Hayden, he said he wanted to show these guys
00:39that he is the fastest 250 rider.
00:44Joe Shimoda, there he is,
00:45supporting the Honda HRC, number 30.
00:48Great start for Joe.
00:50Keep your eye on Moseman as well.
00:53I mean, he was all over,
00:54all over Cole Davies in that heat race,
00:58so if he has the stamina to make it to the end,
01:02it's going to be on.
01:03Nice pass by Juju.
01:05He's a little rough to the back.
01:05He's a little rough to the back.
01:07Just pushing his weight towards the top five.
01:10Man, he was flying around that bowl corner.
01:13Looked like he was on a pro motocross track.
01:15I said earlier today,
01:22it feels different this weekend.
01:23The vibe in the team is really good.
01:25Happy with his bike.
01:27That's why he showed just blistering qualifying speed.
01:31Let's see if he can,
01:32we see that speed again from Juju
01:33to work his way by the likes of Cody Schock
01:36and Joe Shimoda.
01:37That was an epic line that Cole Davies just took right there.
01:42He was able to go single-double and still relatively make that inside line
01:46before he shoots back across from the, over the mechanics turn.
01:51Did you see that, JT?
01:53Ricky, I did, and I got a chance to speak to him right before we went live after his heat race.
01:58And I asked him, what do you think about that line? Is it better?
02:00And he said, it all comes down to the execution.
02:02If I can land right on the downside and carry my momentum through the corner,
02:06it's quicker. If I make any mistake whatsoever and hesitate in the corner,
02:10then it's not quite as good.
02:14Davies, Mosman, Deegan, the Monster Energy Star Yamaha races one, two, and three
02:20before you get to Joe Shimoda.
02:24Trying for three in a row is Cole Davies.
02:28Yeah, keep your eye again on 23 at Beaumare. He was in the 51s.
02:32So was Cole Davies and Mosman and Deegan.
02:38So if he's able to make some moves here early, still a lot of racing left.
02:42Look at the road he gets through the whoops.
02:44Wow.
02:45That Red Bull KTM is flying.
02:47Well, and just the commitment.
02:49Ooh, that was a nice line too.
02:50Jumping from the inside, up, over, landing on the backside of the tabletop,
02:54going to the inside.
02:55Love the commitment that he has going into the whoops.
03:01I was just saying, make it up so much time.
03:04But, Juju's going to have company here momentarily if he doesn't get by Cody Shock.
03:08Because Garrett Marchbanks is turning some nice laps.
03:10There he is.
03:11He was. He was in the 51s as well.
03:13Inside Beaumare on Shock and gets it done.
03:16Shock opens the door in just that split second.
03:19Juju takes advantage of it and that's what you have to do.
03:22Monster Energy Supercross will.
03:23Ricky, when Julian Beaumare was talking earlier, Lee just mentioned it about the different vibe that he had around.
03:30I kind of dug into that with his trainer, Davey Millsaps Moore, and he said,
03:33it's just been a real shift, mostly of mental focus for him.
03:37There's been a lot of distractions, all the stuff that's happened over the season between him and Hayden Deegan,
03:42having that kind of rivalry.
03:43And he said, it's just taken, it has distracted him.
03:45So they had a sit down, they had a reset, and they said, look, this is about the race.
03:49We've got to get a head back in it, and that's exactly what he's done.
03:52And so that was what he was alluding to.
03:54Oh, he's looking sharp right now.
03:55And man, if he's able to get by Joe in a fair amount of time and not, I wouldn't say waste time,
04:03but get by him, I think he has a legit shot to at least catch up to Deegan.
04:07To Deegan, yeah.
04:09First three races of the year were phenomenal for Julian Beaumare.
04:13He looks on the inside at Shimoda.
04:15Shimoda's like, wow, where'd you come from?
04:17Let's see if he can slingshot him right here.
04:19But he's going to get him in the whoops as long as Joe doesn't take his line away.
04:24And he does.
04:24That was a good line, but he still goes more to the right.
04:27Lovely.
04:28He's got it.
04:29That's where Beaumare went down in the heat race, but no chance this time.
04:35He's on rails.
04:36That was a great pass, but great heads up riding by Joe, too, to take that line away that Beaumare was taken.
04:42But that wouldn't phase Beaumare.
04:43He goes all the way to the right-hand side, lines himself up perfectly to make the move.
04:48These next couple laps are going to be awesome.
04:50We'll see what the lap times show.
04:51It's a big chunk of time between there and where the third-placed Hayden Deacon is.
04:59So we will see.
05:01Deacon's just turned up the heat, by the way.
05:03He has.
05:03He was the fastest guy on the track.
05:07The three teammates still run first, second, and third.
05:10And let's see what kind of ground Hayden Deacon can make up on Michael Moseman.
05:14Great ride for Moseman on a very difficult track.
05:24And when you think about the difficulty of it, because it's hard-packed and slick,
05:28and then there's some other areas where it's grippy.
05:31It has some grip as well.
05:32So, man, he's doing a fantastic job.
05:35Will.
05:37Guys, you were talking earlier about Hayden Deacon.
05:39He was saying that he wanted to prove he was the fastest guy on track.
05:42I got to ask both him and his dad, Brian Deacon, about the balance of that.
05:46How do you balance wanting to win that real deep will to win that he has
05:51with managing this championship?
05:53And they both said the same thing.
05:54They said, it is tough.
05:55It's difficult to set that aside because it is just inbred in Hayden Deacon.
05:59But he said, big picture, this is about a title.
06:02That is what people will remember in the future, and that's what we have to keep up.
06:06Right.
06:06And I kind of told Diff, and I think it's like twofold for Deacon.
06:10And, hey, if the win is there, take it.
06:12But also you have to put your championship hat on and go big picture like what Brian had
06:17told you, and I couldn't agree with him anymore.
06:21And, listen, not always do you have to be the fastest to be considered the best.
06:26It's the whole total package.
06:27And I look back, Deacon's had, he's got two wins, but he's got seven podiums.
06:32It's way more than anybody in the 250 West division.
06:37Well, as he works on his teammate, Michael Moseman, let's hear from Hayden Deacon himself.
06:42Yeah, I feel like this year I've really made it my goal to be smart throughout the season
06:49and stay consistent and take a win if it's there, but don't stress it.
06:53I feel like this 250 class, you can be consistent, that's how you're going to win the championship.
06:57But now I've got a healthy point lead, and I want to win.
07:00I want to prove that I'm still the fastest guy on the 250 in the Supergirls class.
07:03So, yeah, the goal tonight or tomorrow night is go out there, hammer, and, you know, I want to win for sure.
07:10Well, Ricky, where he talks about there about being smart and also being consistent
07:14as he goes for the inside on Moseman and gets it done, Deacon up to second.
07:18Well, that was a great pass, and I didn't think he was going to get the job done
07:21because he wasn't close enough, and Moseman had really good corner speed on the outside,
07:26but he does, he gets it done.
07:29Well, he is the only rider in either 250 East or West divisions
07:33to finish in the top five in every race this season.
07:37That's being smart, that's being consistent.
07:39That's the kind of stuff that's going to win you championships.
07:42By the way, we're over the halfway mark.
07:44You can stock up on Monster Energy drinks, now available at King Soopers.
07:49Watch that time gap on the top of the graphic on the left of your screen.
07:543.4 seconds.
07:56Davies over Deacon.
07:58Does it diminish or does it grow?
08:03They'll be looking at their pit boards.
08:06They'll get that necessary information.
08:08There we see.
08:09Let's see.
08:10Davies had a 51.6.
08:12Hayden had a 51.6.
08:14But 56.01 to 56.64.
08:1951.64.
08:20That's so close.
08:22That is tight.
08:25Last three laps there on your graphics,
08:27so we'll continue to monitor that.
08:29Julian Beaumare keeps hammering to try and catch
08:32and to try and get back up on the podium
08:35for the first time since A2.
08:37It's been a long time since Juju was up there.
08:40And as I was reading the pit signal from Brent Dubb,
08:46Hayden Deacon's mechanic,
08:47and it says three bounce three,
08:50so let's see if he does that in the rhythm section.
08:54As they run now,
09:01championship JT does not get societal tonight.
09:04It'll get pushed to Salt Lake City next week.
09:06It is, Ricky,
09:07and I think what Brent was mentioning there
09:08is that three-foot, five-foot, three-foot,
09:10that line that you talked about Cole Davies doing,
09:13I think it's a little bit quicker.
09:14Brent noticed it and wanted to get that message
09:16to Hayden Deacon to try that line
09:18that they're coming up to right now.
09:19Let's see if he does it.
09:20That was great, JT.
09:23No, he doesn't do that.
09:27Hammer, whoops.
09:31Gap's still at that 3.4-second mark.
09:35Yeah, Davies was five-tenths quicker the last lap.
09:41He's got a nice little gap now.
09:44Four seconds between Moseman and Beaumare.
09:47Is it possible over these last five minutes plus a lap?
09:50I think on this racetrack
09:54where it definitely suits Cole Davies' style
09:58is he's relatively precise, I believe, Lee.
10:03And, like, because it's so slick,
10:05when you're able to have that discipline
10:07and be smooth and have key precision,
10:11it just turns into speed.
10:13And there's that section that JT was talking about, Will.
10:16Yeah, and that kind of smooth technique that you're talking about, Ricky,
10:19so unusual for a 17-year-old rookie here.
10:23And something else that the team manager, Jensen Hedler,
10:26was talking to me about earlier
10:27was how he reads his bike,
10:29how he communicates what he needs out of his bike.
10:31His dad actually called him fussy, was the word they used.
10:34But what they describe is he just operates
10:35within a very narrow window as far as the setup on his bike.
10:39When he spoke to JT on the podium earlier,
10:41he wins his heat race, and he said he wasn't happy
10:43and he wasn't getting it done.
10:44So for him, just those tiny changes in him
10:48and in the bike make a massive difference.
10:50And when he's got that, he's like,
10:52right, yeah, then we're there.
10:53Yeah, but I really admire a young kid being fussy like that.
10:57He knows what he wants from his bike.
10:59That gap has come down to 2.2.
11:03Oh, yeah, he's right there.
11:05It is on.
11:08Two seconds even.
11:10Deacon is eating into Cole Davies' lead.
11:19But then you go back to, like, Cole
11:20and the honesty that he has.
11:22He's a couple of his heat race wins throughout the year.
11:24He's bummed, you know, with how he rode.
11:28That says a lot.
11:29For how competitive he is,
11:30and what he expects out of himself.
11:33Bottom box, look at this.
11:35Beaumare and Moseman, they're right there.
11:38So Juju's already answered the question we posed earlier.
11:41But also Garrett Marchbanks is putting in an excellent ride.
11:44He's trying to go with him as well.
11:47Podium on the line here for Beaumare.
11:54Oh, man, these lappers.
11:56Look at the gap between first and second.
12:00It's down to 1.3 seconds.
12:04Deacon feels he has a shot.
12:05Moseman's dropped it.
12:06Oh, this guy.
12:14Decision-making.
12:16Good decision-making and execution critical here.
12:19Through the lap traffic.
12:202 minutes 40 left on the clock, plus a lap.
12:24Time is winding down, and you just have to think.
12:26Oh, Deacon slips under braking going into that corner.
12:30You wonder if Cole can feel the pressure, hear the crowd react.
12:34JT, you got something for us.
12:39So, Cole?
12:40Watch it, Cole.
12:40And I'm so impressed by his ability to stay calm in these situations.
12:46When Deacon made the pass on Moseman, he heard the crowd, took a look back,
12:50and understood that Deacon was making a move.
12:52He knows he's closing on him.
12:54But I'm going to tell you, Ricky, Cole Davies is so good in this whoop section right here
12:58and so assertive.
13:00Even if Deacon made a pass, I think he might be able to repass him in that section.
13:04You saw him pull out, like, two bike links in that section alone.
13:07Well, it's going to be interesting right here.
13:08Now that he has some relatively clear air, Deacon almost dropped it going into that corner.
13:13It seems like Cole's been able to stretch out his lead by a few bike links.
13:18Now that, again, that he has some clear and clean air, let's see.
13:22What's it like?
13:23Two exceptionally talented teenagers.
13:2617-year-old leads the 19-year-old.
13:28Davies ran a 51-9 that last lap.
13:32Deacon ran a 52-0.
13:34I mean, it's just so close.
13:41On the opening lap of qualifying here today, these two came together,
13:47and it resulted in Davies going down.
13:51Oh.
13:51Are we going to see these two get physical here on these closing laps of this 250 main?
13:57The top two in the championship and the top two in the race.
14:00The teammates from Monster Energy Star Yamaha.
14:04Oh, he's got him.
14:05He's got a hook in him right here.
14:07Deacon feels he can do it.
14:09He can't win the championship if they run as they are,
14:15or even if he wins and Davies finishes second.
14:17It'll be decided next week in Salt Lake City in that East-West showdown.
14:21But it is on here in Denver.
14:23Here comes Danger Boy.
14:29The crowd are being treated to something special here.
14:32Oh, boy.
14:32The teammates fighting it out, and Davies is relentless.
14:36He will not give that position up.
14:39Watch coming out of this corner.
14:41Deacon's pushed his front a couple times because he's in that loose dirt.
14:44Deacon lost his front discard while making contact with Davies.
14:55Oh, man.
14:58Oh, look at the time clock.
15:00Is he going to get another lap?
15:02It's going to be close.
15:03Oh, it's so close.
15:05No.
15:05Oh, they give it to him.
15:07It says two more laps.
15:08This is great.
15:09Oh, my goodness.
15:10Here goes Deacon.
15:12Deacon slams Cole Davies off the track.
15:15Oh, my goodness.
15:20No way.
15:22Where is he?
15:23Oh, he's down.
15:24This brings the championship back into question.
15:28And it's on offer.
15:29If Davies is fifth or worse,
15:31Deacon's going to win the title.
15:33He better get going.
15:35You got March Banks up there.
15:37Smith up there.
15:38Shock up there.
15:41What place did he get back up into?
15:43If he stays here,
15:45Deacon wins the title.
15:47Davies is in fifth.
15:48Whoa.
15:49Can you believe what we've just seen?
15:59Wow.
16:01Last lap.
16:03One more lap for Hayden Deacon.
16:04The next guy.
16:11So he's two seconds behind Jordan Smith.
16:14Looks like his bike.
16:16Oh, no.
16:16Look.
16:17See if his bike's banged up at all.
16:22Wow.
16:23Wow.
16:23Wow.
16:23Wow.
16:23Wow.
16:23Wow.
16:23Wow.
16:34Hayden Deacon put on a display.
16:40An incredible display.
16:42And I have to fight his teammate.
16:52Here it is.
16:54Hayden Deacon wins in Denver.
16:57And gets it done.
17:01Cole Davies, after picking himself up off the side of the track, is in fifth place.
17:08And this is it.
17:14Juju Bermere on the podium.
17:16March Banks will be there as well.
17:20Cole Davies.
17:22What could have been.
17:24What could have been.
17:25What could have been.
17:26What could have been.
17:27What could have been.
17:28What could have been.
17:29What could have been.
17:29What could have been.
17:29What could have been.
17:29What could have been.
17:30What could have been.
17:30What could have been.
17:31What could have been.
17:31What could have been.
17:31What could have been.
17:32What could have been.
17:33What could have been.
17:33What could have been.
17:34What could have been.
17:34What could have been.
17:35What could have been.
17:35What could have been.
17:36What could have been.
17:36What could have been.
17:36What could have been.
17:37What could have been.
17:37What could have been.
17:38What could have been.
17:38What could have been.
17:39What could have been.
17:40What could have been.
17:40What could have been.
