00:02:22He hasn't missed at any time, putting himself right back into the biggest challenges.
00:02:27Last week, that's where he found himself against Drew McIntyre.
00:02:29Yeah, number one contenders match for the U.S. title between those two.
00:02:34Things were going well for the Megastar, but then Solo Sokoa came along,
00:02:38dropped the Megastar with a Samoan Spiker with McIntyre closing in on victory.
00:02:44Damian Priest showed up, decided he didn't like what was going down.
00:02:48He drilled McIntyre with a South of Heaven.
00:02:51Now, L.A. Night was disqualified as a Solo man,
00:02:54and he then vented his anger until a human torpedo in the form of Jacob Batu showed up.
00:03:01The U.S. champ putting all potential challenges for his goal on notice with a typical beatdown.

00:03:36One week ago, I stepped right in this ring.

00:05:33In fairness to Damian Priest, he was trying to help the Megastar last week.
00:05:39It did cause LA Knight to be disqualified and lose that number one contenders matchup to McIntyre, and understandably unimpressed is LA Knight.
00:05:50Drew got that DQ win, number one status.
00:05:54Knight, you're right.
00:05:57You and I do not have a problem.
00:05:59We're cool, man.
00:06:00And last week, that was all about Drew McIntyre.
00:06:05WrestleMania happened.

00:09:40Night was questioning why Damian Priest was questioning why Damian Priest caused a DQ last week and gave Drew McIntyre that number one contender status.
00:09:48Says Knight is looking for a rematch to re-earn his U.S. championship.
00:09:51Yeah, both men with the top talk, both men aggravated by losses at WrestleMania.
00:09:58There's a hell of a lot riding on this match here.
00:10:01You cannot afford to take two big L's in a row.
00:10:04Well, one of these men is going to have to eat that.
00:10:08Priest slams down Knight.
00:10:10Just the fourth time that they've ever shared the ring.
00:10:12But the first time they've gone one-on-one.
00:10:15Yeah, and that limb length advantage of Damian Priest has really been the story of this one so far.
00:10:22There's L.A. Night.
00:10:23Oh!
00:10:24Oh, he's trying to go for it as Priest throws him away for a moment and delivers the big kick with all 250 plus pounds coming behind it.
00:10:32And Knight gets the shoulder up.
00:10:33Well, if you ask me, that was a desperation play from L.A. Night clearly attempting that BFT.
00:10:38He's getting eaten alive by the bigger, more dominant Damian Priest at this point.
00:10:43And the limb length has really completely neutralized the Megastar's offense.
00:10:47Absolutely.
00:10:48Six-foot-five is Damian Priest as he's climbing up top, thinking about going all-school.
00:10:54But Knight drags him right down.
00:10:56Knight just has that one way too well scouted.
00:11:00Just took a beat too long climbing the ropes, giving the Megastar that championship-caliber athlete that he is.
00:11:06A little chance to recover and throw something back in the opposite direction.
00:11:10You mentioned how heated things got early on when it came on the air as both were giving their account of what happened last week.
00:11:18With that match between L.A. Knight and Drew McIntyre and then Solo Sokoa came and got involved before Jacob Batu was cleaning things up.
00:11:27And now these guys going toe-to-toe as Knight starts to take control here.
00:11:32Damian Priest was just further antagonized.
00:11:34Oh! The jumping neckbreaker by Knight into the cover.
00:11:39Hooks the leg and quickly Priest gets rid of him.
00:11:42Damian Priest antagonized further by that confrontation, I should say, with Jacob Batu and Solo Sokoa as he entered the building here.
00:11:51It was like lighting the fuse.
00:11:53And I think the words from L.A. Knight set Damian Priest off over the edge in a fight at that point was inevitable.

00:12:02Big right hand from Priest as he tries to steady himself after the attack.
00:12:07From Knight who gets him up and slams him down!
00:12:09Yeah, and Priest looks like he's hurting now. Still clearly not quite recovered from that Sin City street fight, but catching the Megastar.

00:12:33And that left shoulder just barely gets up from Knight.
00:12:36And that's how dangerous Damian Priest is.

00:12:40He's moving a little gingerly.
00:12:42He's clearly in agony, but he's so big, so strong.
00:12:46One shot from Priest will take anyone off their feet.
00:12:49And look at the Megastar now.
00:12:50The wing completely knocked out of him.
00:12:52Yeah, I just consider what both of these guys have given and taken in recent years.

00:13:00Especially considering what happened at WrestleMania in each of their matches.

00:13:12I think both men can well do with a week off to recover at this point.
00:13:16But coming off the back of losses, you don't want to take a week off.

00:14:33And now he delivers nearly three quarters across the ring, sending the Megastar.
00:14:39And just at the last possible minute, that left shoulder didn't know.
00:14:44Oh, let's take another look at this landing high on the neck and shoulders for LA Knight.
00:14:49No way to protect yourself.
00:14:51The back of the head bouncing off the canvas and this entire arena were convinced.
00:14:56This was a three count.
00:14:582.99, no less than that.
00:15:01But somehow the Megastar still ticking.
00:15:04Wait, can you believe the distance of that?
00:15:07I mean, it says something when Damian Priest has the raw power to throw a 250 plus pound man.
00:15:14In LA Knight, across the ring, this deep of the match, Joe.
00:15:18He's looking for more.
00:15:19But instead of south of heaven, the Megastar trying to find his own rally.
00:15:25No, Priest counters broken arrow.

00:15:34Perhaps he's acutely aware that the Megastar is not going to go down easy in this one.

00:15:43But how much has Damian Priest got left in the tank to even scale to the top rope?

00:15:48Well, that is a question and a legitimate one based on what we are seeing as all of a sudden...

00:16:10Well, just when this broken arrow connects to LA Knight, perhaps it was a mistake to not go for the pin
00:16:16because he's what came back in return.

00:16:22And I do think, looking at the pin that LA Knight executed there,
00:16:26he perhaps over-rotated the shoulders of Damian Priest,
00:16:30allowing Damian Priest an easier kick out.
00:16:33You can't blame him at this point in the match.
00:16:35Exhaustion is the order of the day now for these two men.
00:16:39You see Stephanie's places, by the way, this week's episode on ESPN,
00:16:42plus Roman Reigns and the bloodline.
00:16:43And it's a must-watch as Knight sends Priest out to the floor.
00:16:47These two men, their bodies, their joints must feel like jelly at this point,
00:16:51trying to maintain any control.
