00:00We tore down this 6.7 Power Stroke.
00:02I'm a little concerned at why, because it doesn't have that many miles on it, but we're
00:07going to find out why it went down.
00:09It has been remanufactured because it's got a sticker on it.
00:13I laid the bearings out here, and it was the number three that grabbed, and it spun the
00:19main bearing right in the housing, spun it around.
00:22So the block is junk.
00:24Now when I say it's junk, it can be fixed.
00:27I can oversize and get bearings, and I can fix the cap, but the cap has been stretched
00:32so I'll have to replace the cap.
00:34But I'm developing, and it's in development right now, a fix for this motor because this
00:41is the most common failure I see on the 6.7 Power Stroke, is a spun main bearing.
00:47This engine, if you'll watch one of my YouTube videos, an early one about oil, the oil delivery
00:53problem on this motor.
00:55By the time the oil gets to the crankshaft, which is the last thing to get oil, in fact,
01:00look here.
01:01It gets oiled through these holes here, but it doesn't get that oil until it charges up
01:08a hollow camshaft.
01:10So it's got to suck it out of the oil pump, goes through all the tubing in the oil pan,
01:17charges up a hollow camshaft, and then it gets to the main bearings.
01:20And I see it all the time where this motor has grabbed a main bearing.
01:24So we're developing a fix for it.
01:26Stay tuned.
