Tamir Ali, 38, transformed half a 1970s Hawker jet into a unique rental home in Dolgellau, Wales.

The dad-of-four spent £90,000 and seven months restoring the decommissioned plane—once used by an oil company—into “Alaya Airways”, named after his daughter.

The quirky stay features two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a working cockpit, and is already 70% booked on Airbnb.

“It’s a very cool experience,” said Tamir, a classic car restorer from Leicester.

The glamping pod rents for £170 a night.
