08:13brown relaxed brown starting to work the jab a little bit i mean if confidence wins fights both these

08:41his new trainer dwight yard is uh was very vocal about the fact that what he likes about this guy is

08:55but his trainer felt confident that you know he's been working hard in the gym and you know he's
08:59part of which you know bunch earlier and again it's one of those things you get an opportunity to

09:10take it yeah you go with it for a lot of these guys hey look when you're coming up you know he's 13-0
09:16with nine knockouts one loss is not going to hurt you you're going to sometimes you learn from a
09:19loss it depends on how you lose but it's not especially young when you're young he's a young

11:42just let it flow like he is three punch combination very effective that's what i'm talking about for
11:48brown he's having fun in there well it's like you said toward the end of the last round he got into
11:52his rhythm and he's picked up right where he left off yeah look at his punches uh his combinations are
11:57flowing now remember this is brown's first fight on tv so i'm sure there was a little bit you
12:03you know he was a little bit uptight oh yeah and it's big step up fight for it
12:11look at he's relaxed now look look at that jab now he's dissecting with a jab picking him with the jab
12:21that was a nice left hand nice jab he's setting up something with a jab he's in the shoulder roll
12:26nice nice combination again and he gets up with an uppercut again and trump finally backs away at
12:35least a step away in the exchange which brown is getting the better of right now

18:51worked both sides of the body come up the middle and i said that he needs to do more of that go up the
18:55middle more but it's more it's really brown that's been connected with those uppercut
19:02yeah i mean that last run i think your point is well taken i think brown came in here with a
19:06game plan and trauma is still trying to figure it out brown's corner they said boxing
19:19he's got a pretty good jab
19:30i'll tell you what brown needs to get closer with some head movement
19:35behind a nice jab and and work the body and go up the middle forget about head shots just hit
19:42brown's arms and body and push them back steve farhard how are you seeing this so far
19:49very i have it pretty close i thought the third round was very close i gave it to brown
19:54clearly brown won the second round and i gave schrom the first round by a little bit of margin
19:58because of that quick start so i have a 29 28 ground but uh easily could be 29 28 schrom
20:06yeah i would say that's right again the first round there's a good uppercut from brown like four
20:11uppercuts very four straight uppercuts by brown pulling schrom's head back oh he's feeling that he's
20:18still in those uppercuts

21:19open up for just a minute there's a good left hand schrom comes back with the right hand of his

21:41no reason to stand in front of him but even like that he got the best of them barry
21:47an uppercut has really been a weapon for brown even close quarters here and he blocks a lot of the

22:00a lot of shots caught on the gloves caught on the arm another good round for brown
22:17drink take a deep breath get some air drink you gotta go to the body he don't like the body

22:38this is what i was talking about look at the way he sets up those uppercuts to the body
22:42then the shoulder roll and i'm sure we're going to see another uppercut come out the middle
22:46and this is at the end of the round they're going toe-to-toe which i don't favor that for brown but
22:51brown got the best of them in that photo action made a mayas made a pay excellent round for brown
22:58i think that was another round for brownberry
23:02so we come to round five of this ten round fight
23:09and it's been pretty much the same story since the middle of the first round
23:13that's the fight round's got to fight he's got to go for broke and he did he got there with
23:20left hand a moment ago close that distance and he's in there and get in his chest and go for it
23:29tied up a little bit on the shots
23:31he's trying there's the uppercut again for brown but brown holds his own even when he's under attack
23:45yeah brown needs to use his footwork and get out of the ropes he's taking the
23:49staying in there a little bit too long no no reason no reason to risk that
23:53look at the uppercut from schram see but look look how he comes back brown it's like he lets
24:02schram shoot his best shot look at that there's the uppercut again overhand right over with his
24:10shots again brown up the middle with the left hook right hook
24:14good body shot from schram but it's a case of too little game he's making the fight exciting
24:24because he's in his chest but he's not getting the best of it no he's not nope

24:38oh left hand good background up from schram i'm gonna go shorter shots by brown he's really setting

24:54again i think schram is just throwing the throw punches i don't think he's thinking when he
24:58throws he's just throwing whatever he could land but brown when he you see him covering up he's setting

25:10he's more of a thinking man in there he's he's setting up things he's got a plan and he's been working
25:15he's blocked that big overhand there by schram okay he's going to the body now he's definitely more
25:20effective and and look how he pushes him creates that room he's about to push him back again
25:25he's blocking those shots and you know the fact is i would say this is actually a better round for schram
25:35and yet i'm not sure he's winning it no i don't think so either you see brown keeps turning him
25:40all right got caught there
25:45if i was brown i would just get back on the outside and box with the dab he's really good when he dice
25:49says with the dab pick him apart from the outside he's giving trump too much of what trump wants to do
26:00all right and the five steve farhood
26:05our halftime report barry first we're going to take a look at the numbers
26:12and what we see is that brown has had the edge in jabs and the edge in power punches landing 46
26:17percent of his power shots and 40 overall a way higher percentage than schram and anytime you
26:23land over 40 percent of your power punches you're probably winning the fight schram a little bit
26:28better on the inside to the body and we take a look at the action
26:34schram had a pretty good start to round one but brown began to dominate in round two when schram came
26:40forward round feed him with the jab and when they were on the inside brown beat him with the right uppercut
26:45so really it was picking uh schram's poison you see they're fighting on the inside you see how
26:50often that uppercut lands for brown schram came back in round three a little bit for rounds four and
26:57five pretty much all brown winning however he chooses the faster schram sets the pace the more brown lands
27:04so we're in round six scheduled for cats and schram is going to have to do something to turn this
27:18battleship around
27:33a lot of shots coming up from schram and back into the corner goes brown but again most of those shots
27:39had been caught on the arm well that one didn't that was a big shot from schram and i think that
27:44got brown's attention and brown cannot extricate himself in this corner it is schram right on top
27:49of him now brown trying to punch his way out still can't do it schram lays in on him
27:56and brown finally gets in turn yeah some of those shots landed by schram but but if you saw brown
28:04he was also making a miss a lot the shoulder roll hiding his head under the shoulders in between
28:09shoulders blocking but this is definitely a better round for schram no question
28:17that was again listen this is the type of fight that the schram has to fight yeah he's been trying
28:35to do this since the beginning very but you know brown's boxing abilities iq
28:40have been better because he's capitalized on it but this round might be turning the tide i still
28:47don't think so i think brown is letting him do this in this round like you know he's blocking out
28:53he's he's really not hurt he knows he knows where he's at
28:58but he can't allow schram to get too confident like this he's giving him too much in this round and
29:03he's not doing much offensively at this round there's a right hand because he'll get there
29:10a lot of schram's punches it is true are either caught on the gloves or shoulders or arms or deflected
29:18and and every now and then brown and this rock still is coming back with some good counters and he does
29:21catch him look at this not much there either
29:33does brown have the energy to go like this for the next four rounds i mean that's the question
29:36yeah you got to ask yourself is he is he doing this if he does then it's going to make it interesting
29:41you got to dig deep deep waters right here around six second half of the fight
29:53well this is a much better round to try no question i gave this

30:11here we see schram as brown in the corners landing some good shots this might have been the best
30:22action of the night he's missing some at times look there we see brown with a shoulder roll he catches
30:27schram catches him there but not much a lot of misses there another shoulder another block by brown
30:32schram with the jab another miss there so you you saw that very like
30:36schram did catch him more but there was good defense by brown too but i did get that round to brown
30:42yeah now you're absolutely right so many of the trump's punches are as you said caught on the elbows
30:57yeah you wouldn't think that uh brown's guys only had 13 fights and none of them had anything to
31:02look at that kind of resembles a high level
31:08that was a good left hand from the shot
31:13good dive shot as well but he took left hand from brown

31:37steve that's a good look at your card how you seeing it so far
31:39well certainly barry and raul uh schram tightened it up with uh the sixth round i gave it to him
31:47the the problem for schram is when he goes on the inside he's very squared up and as a result
31:51that's one of the reasons he's getting hit with the upper pedal all night long but i have it four
31:55rounds to 250 and 56 brown something to keep in mind schram is a proven 10-round fighter so if he
32:01accelerates who knows maybe he doesn't stop well that's right and on your card it's close enough yep
32:06i got a 58 56 just like uh steve but i did give up from different rounds like during round five and six so
32:16he's game he keeps trying
32:20we'll see the punches landed in the last round for schram landed a lot more 30 30 punches rid of
32:34only 15 from brown so and you know we saw that he was very busy and he he did throw look how many
32:41punches he threw 103 punches he was busy but that means he missed a lot like i said brown on the other
32:46and his production went down he'd been in the 50s for the entire fight and there 38 punches in that
32:52round and he's not doing a lot offensively in this round either
33:00i want to say schram is turning the tide here maybe but we still don't know well he's certainly
33:06busier which would lend yes credence through the fact that maybe brown is running not necessarily on
33:13empty but down about a quarter of a tank oh nice good fast combinations by
33:20schram he's got to keep that momentum going he's got to keep that confidence in me
33:29slapping
33:32he's got to keep that energizer bunny uh energy going very unique he's got it
33:37and not only that he's just choking up around yeah even if he's just tapping away you don't have to
33:46be hard shots and this i would say this round is definitely yes column for schram and uh if steve
33:52scores accurate i have no reason to think it isn't that would make it a one point fight
33:57one more boxing on tap tomorrow this from carson california it's a matchup of young fighters with all

34:45times and you look at him you say no way this guy's not championship material until you see him in the
34:50ring oh he turns hey listen this guy he looks just like such an innocent school boy you know like when
34:57it's it he gets in the ring he's a different person man and he's just outsized i mean he's got to be
35:03a really difficult guy for anybody to prepare for
35:11meantime we're in round eight of this ten round fight and the argentine is coming on a little bit
35:25in the middle of the ring coming back with those counter uppercuts pretty good body work from
35:41shram there's the body when it comes out for the left hand
35:45he's got to keep it close that's wrong's fight keep it close and tight
35:58keep saying he needs to close up look at that he used to let it flow barry no he's been doing that
36:04yeah he's tightening up a little bit on his defense too like his his punches are coming in there a little
36:08bit shorter of course i think i i think brown is tired now well and his punch production yeah i was
36:15trying to give him the benefit of the doubt by rolling with the shots blocking maybe being a little
36:19bit defensive letting strong wear down but no i think he's he's wearing down too
36:24well here these numbers speak to exactly again yeah second round in a row where brown got outlanded
36:40and he he i mean he threw less punches and connected with less punches look at look at from 108 punches
36:47that's 211 punches throwing over yeah throwing over 100 punches per round and he's doing it here too
36:59yeah i mean brown is kind of letting schwab dictate now which is not the case
37:04early in this fight at all and look at look who's from now pushing brown away

37:34but not much offense from brown and again i i have to think this is a witness for shrub

38:02on our numerous times shanard bunch we've seen this is a second appearance but we've watched
38:07him many many times shanard bunch coming back to show box and getting it on with brian flores and
38:13it's going to be a very tough guy this is a fight we've talked about flores has been around knows what
38:18he's doing very very good opponent for shanard bunch and i'd say it's a pick-em fight yeah very prideful
38:23in the way in they were pushing each other uh they're ready to get it on barry that's our main event

38:43so this is round nine
38:58and again trump right on the box right on top of it i didn't even see him come out of the ring baby
39:04that's got to be discouraging to brown i mean the energy that trump has to get there that fast
39:14it's it's a mental thing you know right for a fighter like what am i how do i get this guy
39:19out of my face oh good right hand maybe the best of the fight now bound holding on a little bit
39:24into the corner he goes drops the left hand
39:30from trying to measure him definitely got his attention

39:46and another right hand slipped in and the uppercut slipped in and all those shots that were caught on

40:03barry i have it even after eight but schram has all the momentum and a quick point about showbox
40:08we talk a lot about how fighters prospects are asked to fight their toughest opponents on showbox
40:14they're also asked to fight longer rounds than they usually go and schram's a 10-round fighter and
40:19brown's been eight only a couple of times and that seems to be playing out right now
40:22yeah it sure does look that way thank you steve look at schram's coffin he's digging his tongue out
40:27at him he's clowning him out he's winning both the psychological and the actual fight right now
40:38steve got to give it to brown he's still keeping his composure he's not going crazy
40:41he's trying to land some counters but the activity
40:48and schram has been incredible the last the second half of the fight the last round six seven eight
40:54nine i've given him i've given him those rounds he's throwing over 100 punches per round yeah
40:58he didn't connect 100 but he's been busy much busier yes and conversely brown's going fewer than he did
41:05earlier in the fight right now this fight is all strong
41:16and it's brown who's throwing one or two punches at a time no more i still think you know it's up for
41:21grabs for sure but it's it's strong with the momentum the activity the punch output the confidence

46:30the first round which is sometimes seems like an insignificant round feeling out round
46:36and i think the first round in this fight is going to play a big part in the score yeah you're right

46:54certainly a tale of two fights here as barry mentioned round two it was all brown uppercuts jab
47:02controlling the distance and he was very very accurate with his punches you see him landing a right and a
47:07left there flush round four it still was all brown and really at the halfway mark of this fight
47:14he had on my unofficial card he had won four out of the five rounds which means he only needed one
47:18more in the second half to get at least get a draw i don't think he did get that one more round
47:25brown sticks now all of a sudden it wasn't so much that brown turned himself off as the
47:29trump turned himself on and he started throwing 100 punches around and then around nine and ten it
47:34was all shram as brown tired badly body and head mostly on the inside and brown didn't have the power to
47:42hold him off at this point and the tenth actually was one of the best rounds for shram so uh i think
47:47he may have edged it with the uh with the second half of the fight domination
47:54we look at the numbers jabs i think brown would like to have had the jabs be more of a factor but
47:59they weren't power shots 41 for brown that's a very high percentage but look at the difference in
48:05power shots thrown 300 more power shots thrown by shram than by brown and a lot more body shots landed
48:12by shram and that was the difference in the fight yeah i completely agree with you steve and again i i
48:18hearken back to that first round for me i have the fight to draw actually i gave the first five rounds
48:24to uh brown and the last five to shram although i really believe steve let's go up to lupe contraras

48:42we go to the scorecards judge danseco scores about 95 to 95 a draw overruled by judge walker who scores
48:55about 98 to 92 and judge bayless who scores about 97 to 93 both in favor of the winner by way of majority
49:06decision from argentina well he earned it that's all he definitely earned it i mean the way he yeah
49:24you're right the way he came back very he deserved it uh but you know 98 92 that's a little bit far off
49:32first from 97 93 but i had a 96 94 a draw i don't know i had a draw but again i i think those
49:44insignificant rounds the rounds that seem insignificant early in the fight and how you see those when
49:49they're close to rounds oftentimes determines the outcome i don't think there could be anybody who
49:54who wouldn't have given trump the last five rounds but it was a big win for him and uh he really found
50:02something he sucked out sucked down and found something uh in his arsenal because he was not
50:07throwing a lot of punches early in the fight from the fifth round on he was throwing almost an average
50:12of 100 punches a round and that's what did it for he brought the fight to brown he didn't let brown
50:18extricate himself from his corner and uh yeah that condition and that will to win
50:23you know and for brown too again this is a point you always make touched on it earlier 13 and 0 coming
50:30into this fight he's probably going to learn as much from from losing this fight than he would have
50:36had he won the fight perhaps maybe he wasn't in the best shape maybe he didn't follow the game plan as
50:42well as he could have uh maybe he underestimated his opponent i don't know what it was but he's going to
50:46learn from this absolutely barry all right steve let's take a look at the cards and uh here's what it
50:54was well in the first fight barry the judges agreed on only two of the eight rounds in this fight they
51:00agreed on eight of the ten rounds you see the uh danseco had it a draw all you need to know about the
51:06scoring the official scoring is that at the halfway mark brown was ahead on all three cards and he only
51:12won one round on one card from round six through ten with bayless and walker giving him all five of
51:18those rounds take a look at my card i had it similar 96 94 brown ahead at the halfway mark
51:24schram dominating after that so it really wasn't that hard to fight to score one round apiece uh one
51:30round different each way you could get it closer but from i think deserved the win well and there again
51:35steve i i harken back to that first round and that's a round that you saw schram winning and uh
51:41uh other people saw it the other way but anyway the win is a win and it was a good win and everybody

52:47this weight class is full of names and it's way more fun it's more of a challenge i want everybody to
52:52know like yo this guy really had to go through that fire to win those titles mendoza frenetic and
52:58fantastic action hey i always knew i wanted to be in front of like some kind of big crowds like
53:05coliseum stadium type stuff the first i was in a boxing gym i was hooked and i knew this was it
53:12and ever since then you know just been day in day out grinding trying to make the dreams come true
53:16hey hey once i started knocking people out like in sparring and amateur fights my original trainer
53:23started calling me a secret weapon and then over time you know people found out who i was and it
53:27turned into la bala you know just kept taking people out one by one another right hand connects
53:34i'm a shooter you know we're coming i'm not there you know to dance around you know look pretty in the
53:38ring i like to fight so i'm getting in there and we're shooting mendoza with the right uppercut dropping
53:44rosario right now we have mendoza in front of us honestly i don't know too much about mendoza i know
53:50his last fight when he got rid of rosario that was a good win for him he looked very strong but other than
53:57that i i just want him to come 100 for our fight so we can give the fans a good show i'm just gonna do
54:02what i need to do it's all sebastian fandora and he's hurt fandora teeing up unbelievable action
54:17i've seen his fight seen his style and i see a lot of holes in his game and i feel like i can
54:21neutralize a lot of his weapons and come in with my own everything fell into place beautifully for
54:27this camp i'm in the best shape of my life just like every fight you know i treat it like a world title
54:31fight this just happens to really be a title on the line but i'm dedicating everything i feel like
54:37that's what's going to make the difference on fight night whether it's decision or knockout i will have
54:41my hand raised at the end of that fight i'm still the intern champion my goal still is to become the
54:47complete world champion maybe after that we'll see what we can do still at 154 because it feels like
54:53we're going through everybody too right now i might not be the complete champion but i feel like i'm doing
54:57the champion's job i'm fighting everybody we're going to take this fight and we're going to do our
55:01job and then from there if we can't clean out this division we'll do it it's not a problem
