00:00:00They were over doubling, as I call it, like double, then get the hell out of there.
00:00:05Buddy Hill will not be getting wide open shots against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
00:00:09He will not.
00:00:10First time these teams have ever met in the postseason.
00:00:14Not to say there's not history, Jimmy Butler leaving Minnesota,
00:00:18and the fan base there remembers that.
00:00:21How about Rudy Gobert and Draymond Green once upon a time?
00:00:25Oh, now the sheep got to be black?
00:00:28Nobody count sheep, man.
00:00:29That's just a wise tale.
00:00:31We understand that.
00:00:33That's a better.
00:00:34First of all, I don't like Dunkin' Donuts, fool.
00:00:37I only drink Krispy Kreme.
00:00:39He knew from the picture that it wasn't a Krispy Kreme.
00:00:44Come on, man.
00:00:45This man knows his donuts.
00:00:46I mean, yes, I do.

00:01:16I don't know.
00:01:17Somebody.
00:01:18Okay.
00:01:18What about tonight, Kenny?
00:01:20Steph going for $25.
00:01:21Yep.
00:01:22Jimmy for $20.
00:01:23Yep.
00:01:24Congratulations, Chuck.

00:01:27Thank you, Kendall.
00:01:27You're a winner tonight.
00:01:28This is a wank me.
00:01:29I didn't say you.
00:01:30I got to call my people in other states.
00:01:32No, who's not going to do what, Chuck?
00:01:33Jewish Randall not getting $20.
00:01:35Jewish Randall getting $20.
00:01:36Yeah, he getting $20.
00:01:36Nope.
00:01:37Them little munchkins to let the Warriors put out there?
00:01:39You don't see.
00:01:41It's going to be a hard 20.
00:01:43We will start the night in Cleveland.
00:01:46Pacers trying to take a 2-0 lead over the number one seed in the East.
00:02:00Everybody can be better.
00:02:02This opponent is, you know, you look at what they did throughout the year with the dominance
00:02:08and, I mean, the insane winning streaks, really.
00:02:11I mean, just insane.
00:02:13Getting an extra 2, 3, 4, 5% effort out of everybody is going to be essential.
00:02:21Backs his way into the dotted half and scores over Siakam.
00:02:32Siakam has a 3 and hits.
00:02:35And there goes.
00:02:37Who has been electric his entire career in the postseason.
00:02:41Delivered there on the front.
00:02:42Nice fake.
00:02:43Just masterful.
00:02:45Cross court to the far sideline.
00:02:48This is Nebhardt delivering a 3.
00:02:49He bounces at baseline, top and outside.
00:02:52Matherin just meets the shot.
00:02:55It has been a nearly flawless opening quarter for the Pacers.
00:02:59The roller to the rim.
00:03:02And there he didn't count.
00:03:03He just continued to put pressure on you.
00:03:06Jerome, turn to the corner, taking contact.
00:03:08Neesmith, and he buries a 3.
00:03:15M.R. three on the timer, crosses over, pulls, and sticks it.
00:03:20Struis, early offense, three, and he bangs and Mobley cashes the check.
00:03:32Three, Mitchell right up the middle.
00:03:34He sets up Allen, who tucks it.
00:03:36Long rebound, Mitchell.
00:03:37Here come the Cavs.
00:03:39Up top.
00:03:41Here comes Mitchell.
00:03:43And he just detonated.
00:03:47M.R. three powers up.
00:03:49Cleveland has Wade taken the lead.
00:03:55Siakam into the corner.
00:03:58Turner.
00:03:59Green look.
00:04:00And he buries it.
00:04:01We are seeing high-level NBA playoff basketball here in Cleveland.
00:04:21Hunter on the wing-tongue back.
00:04:25My goodness.
00:04:26Halliburton doing his dance.
00:04:29Crosses over, steps back, and...
00:04:31Buries it.
00:04:32Well played by Halliburton.
00:04:34Beautiful fade.
00:04:36Siakam.
00:04:37They do not play scared.
00:04:40Wing leans in and gently scoops it off the glass.
00:04:43The Indiana Pacers come to Cleveland.
00:04:47Take the home court advantage.
00:04:49And make their early statement in this Eastern Conference semifinal.
00:04:55One down.
00:04:56Three more to go.
00:04:57Stay rolling, man.
00:04:58Stay rolling.
00:04:59Stay rolling.
00:05:00Stay rolling.
00:05:01We welcome you to downtown Cleveland, where the playoff mood has changed dramatically.
00:05:12A Cavaliers team that just a week ago looked nearly invincible is suddenly wounded after
00:05:18taking one of the chin from the Pacers in Game 1.
00:05:20And tonight are staring down the barrel of an 0-2 series deficit.
00:05:27Second-round coverage on TNT is presented by Wingstop Cleveland Electric once again.
00:05:36As the number one seeded Cavaliers try to even this best-of-seven series before the fun goes to Indianapolis.
00:05:45And what a start to the second round of the NBA postseason.
00:05:48All lower seeds striking first and taking the home court advantage in-game once.
00:05:54Hi, everyone.
00:05:54Welcome to Cleveland.
00:05:55Alongside Greg Anthony, I'm Spiro Ditas.
00:05:57We will begin with the big injury news for Kenny Atkinson and the Cavaliers.
00:06:01And for the very latest, we check in with Jared Greenberg.
00:06:04Well, Spiro, Kenny Atkinson wants his team to play with force, focus, and energy.
00:06:08But tonight they'll have to do it without three key rotational players, including the Defensive Player of the Year, Evan Mobley.
00:06:15He's out after spraining his ankle here.
00:06:18No foul called on Miles Turner as he stepped in the landing zone.
00:06:21He's been seen limping today and yesterday and unable to put full weight on that foot.
00:06:25DeAndre Hunter went up hard for this slam.
00:06:27Also, a clean block on Ben Matherin.
00:06:30But Hunter dislocated his shooting thumb.
00:06:33He is out.
00:06:34You add Darius Garland to the injury list as well.
00:06:36He remains out his fourth straight with a sprained big left toe.
00:06:41Guys, this is going to be an interesting way.
00:06:43Donovan Mitchell saying he's not going to try and play like a superhero.
00:06:46But, guys, he may have to go find that cape.
00:06:49Indeed, as we take a look at the starters.
00:06:53So, it will be tied Jerome.
00:06:54Again, a finalist for the sixth man of the year.
00:06:56And Dean Wade, who did start 30 games during the regular season.
00:07:01But, man, they were hoping to get Darius Garland back.
00:07:03Not only is he still out, G.A., now you're without Mobley, your anchor, and Hunter, who's been so huge.
00:07:09How do they recover and play tonight?
00:07:11Well, you've got to rely on who you've been all season long.
00:07:15This is the number one seed in Eastern Conference.
00:07:18Now it's an opportunity for other guys to step up and put their imprint on this game.
00:07:23You know your best players are going to have to get it done.
00:07:25But they need to do this by committee.
00:07:28And just get back to playing Cleveland Cavaliers basketball.
00:07:31And let's just take a moment to appreciate the seed in this building.
00:07:38Better than 19,000.
00:07:40It is a sea of weight.
00:07:42The Pacers handled the pressure.
00:07:45It was unbelievable, G.A.
00:07:46They blew that double-digit lead in the third quarter the other night.
00:07:49Cleveland had the place jumping.
00:07:51Donovan Mitchell got his game going.
00:07:53And then the Pacers responded again.
00:07:55In a road environment like this, it was something to watch.
00:07:58Their poise in that second half was impressive.
00:08:02Keep in mind, though, this lead is oftentimes a first-quarter lead.
00:08:06Let's see who can get off to a good start.
00:08:08Remember, plus 11 were the Pacers after the first quarter in game one.
00:08:12Tony Brothers, David Guthrie, Nick Booker, our terrific officiating crew.
00:08:17And that is Tyrese Halliburton picking up where he left off.
00:08:20He was 22 and 13 assists in the opener.
00:08:24And he does it within the confines of their system.
00:08:28Some might say that he is their system because of his style of play.
00:08:32How does Donovan Mitchell handle the scoring burden tonight?
00:08:36Encouraging start for the Cavs.
00:08:37Yeah, he's going to have to be aggressive offensively.
00:08:40But I felt like they just didn't move the basketball very well in that first game.
00:08:44As you see, Miles Turner able to knock down that little mid-range jumper.
00:08:48And offensively, it's going to be important.
00:08:50But I really feel like their defense is going to have to be infinitely better
00:08:54than it was the last game.
00:08:57Mitchell misfires on a three.
00:08:59Remember, he struggled from deep in game one.
00:09:01Just one of ten from the three-point line.
00:09:04Pascal Siak, a bit of a mismatch.
00:09:06And then it's Jerome able to collapse with the help.
00:09:10Mitchell on the attack.
00:09:13Wins out.
00:09:15Kept alive underneath.
00:09:16This is Jerome probing Allen.
00:09:20Where they need a big night from all of these other players.
00:09:23And early on here, you expect Mitchell to be aggressive.
00:09:29Knee-Smith.
00:09:30This is where their issue was.
00:09:32When they had offense where there wasn't a lot of ball movement,
00:09:35where they didn't move the defense from side to side,
00:09:38it created a lot of opportunity to get Max Struis there with an offensive foul on that illegal screen.
00:09:46Max Struis pleads his case.
00:09:48Boy, how good was Aaron Neesman the other night?
00:09:50G.A. hit four threes in that game.
00:09:52As you take another look,
00:09:53and you can see a little bit of a lean from Struis.
00:09:55And that's an easy call there.
00:09:57They're not going to allow you to get outside of your shoulder width when you're setting those screens,
00:10:03especially in the open floor.
00:10:07Indiana won game one on the strength of their three-point shooting.
00:10:10Can that hot three-point stroke continue for them as Knee-Smith misses in the corner?
00:10:15Indiana was 19 of 36 in game one G and nearly a 53-percent clip.
00:10:22Allen, lead pass!
00:10:25Forceful finish beautifully set up by Struis.
00:10:28And really set up by Mitchell.
00:10:30If you saw how that Patriots defense was loaded to him,
00:10:34the quick pass to Struis and that deep dive there by Allen creates it.
00:10:39Miles Turner working on the perimeter, surrounded, double-team.
00:10:44Knee-Smith able to beat Jerome with the step.
00:10:46Allen to help.
00:10:48Knee-Smith, the force, missed everything.
00:10:51That possession we did not see a lot of defensively in game one.
00:10:55That was a great job of not allowing the Pacers to dictate.
00:10:59Mitchell, you're only stepping in the help defense by Turner,
00:11:03who has been among the elite shot blockers in the NBA for the last nine years.
00:11:08There's Rick Carlisle.
00:11:10Boy, he's been through this kind of party so many times in his career.
00:11:14Unfazed.
00:11:16Felt really good about what his teams did in game one, but...
00:11:21That look just never changes.
00:11:25Polked away.
00:11:26Turner showing some of his defensive abilities.
00:11:29Here's Andrew Nembhardt again.
00:11:31Magnificent the other day.
00:11:32Here's Knee-Smith.
00:11:34So Aaron Knee-Smith now, one of his first three from Beaton.
00:11:36Yeah, I mean, you talked about they were electric from deep in game one,
00:11:41getting off to a little bit of a slower start here.
00:11:46Dem hard to take away.
00:11:47Jerome thought he was bummed.
00:11:48Siakam, open floor.
00:11:51And Donovan Mitchell's going to put him at the free throw line, his first.
00:11:54So already you can sense the frustration in the building from that Cavaliers bench.
00:11:59Jerome pleads his case.
00:12:01We heard the press conference before the game.
00:12:03Kenny Atkinson talking about some of the non-calls the other night.
00:12:07Can they get their composure settled?
00:12:09GAs will take another look.
00:12:10Yeah, I was surprised that Kenny Atkinson and staff felt like the game was overly physical.
00:12:17I thought it was a typical postseason game.
00:12:20You see Kenny Atkinson being the coach of the year.
00:12:23She did a phenomenal job.
00:12:25But this is the first real adversity that this group has faced,
00:12:29not having three of your core components playing tonight.
00:12:32And you can see early, the ball's not moving.
00:12:35There's still a lot of attacks by Mitchell and by Tyra Jerome.
00:12:40They're not forcing the Pacers to move defensively.
00:12:43And I think that's going to work to their detriment if it doesn't change.
00:12:46Darius Gardner didn't miss a ton of games this year.
00:12:51He played 75 games most of his career.
00:12:54Last year in games that they were without both Mobley and Garland,
00:12:58Cleveland went 14-4.
00:13:01So they've been here before.
00:13:03As they handle things tonight.
00:13:07On waist!
00:13:08They're going to get a delay again there,
00:13:14but that was an impressive attack.
00:13:16And the reason that happens is because the ball moves.
00:13:19When you shift eyes and shift bodies,
00:13:21it creates opportunities for you offensively.
00:13:27Siakam out to Nembhard, catch and shoot.
00:13:31A little bit too much of the Pacers.
00:13:32One of four from deep.
00:13:34Well, the Pacers, the ball's not popping like we saw at the start of Game 1.
00:13:39Credit that, I think, somewhat to how Cleveland's come out defensively.
00:13:44Mitchell tricked up.
00:13:45The officials are going to get Nembhard in the corner.
00:13:49And Donovan Mitchell playing with fire in his belly here at the start.
00:13:52Yeah, and similar to what we saw in Game 1,
00:13:55he was relentless on his attack at the rim.
00:13:58He was really efficient there.
00:14:00He just struggled with the three-point ball,
00:14:02as did the entire Cavs team.
00:14:04But he found his way to the teeth of that defense time and time again in Game 1.
00:14:09Where they catch him.
00:14:10Big shooting made from Struis, and he bangs in at three.
00:14:16That is what was missing.
00:14:17They came into Game 1, leading the postseason in three-point shooting as a team.
00:14:22It just was not there in Game 1.
00:14:25Max Struis, last two games, going back to the Heat series,
00:14:28just 3-15 from Dean.
00:14:31Shot clocked at three, Halliburton, Nembhard, that's a deep three, barely gets rim.
00:14:39And it's out of bounds to the Cavs.
00:14:41Well, you can see already, though, the difference of intensity defensively from the Cavs.
00:14:47They're not allowing the Pacers to move the ball with quickness.
00:14:53Ty Jerome looking for some early offense.
00:14:55A little bit of chatter about the number of shots, G.A., that he had in Game 1.
00:14:59He took 20 shots.
00:15:01Traveling violation against Nembhard.
00:15:03And Kenny Atkinson talked about it.
00:15:06He said, you know, he didn't feel like his point guards could combine for 50 shots.
00:15:09I don't think it's the amount of shots.
00:15:11I think their shot quality was not great in Game 1, meaning their ball movement wasn't terrific.
00:15:17Their offense didn't create a lot of offense.
00:15:19It was a lot of self-willing.
00:15:21And I think they've got to get away from that and have a little more trust in their teammates.
00:15:24Donovan Mitchell, right around Halliburton, just couldn't put it down.
00:15:30Halliburton on the run.
00:15:31One of their first fast-break opportunities sets the table.
00:15:34This is Turner.
00:15:37The rebound for Wade, one of the reasons Atkinson wanted to plug in Wade tonight,
00:15:41his ability to rebound and defend with some of that length.
00:15:44Mitchell starting to tee off against this defense, stripped out of bounds by Turner.
00:15:49And everyone's going to catch their breath.
00:15:51Early stages in Cleveland.
00:15:56The Pacers trying to take a stranglehold lead in the series.
00:16:01Chuck, I think we can produce this segment without the people upstairs.
00:16:04I agree, Kenneth.
00:16:05So don't forget to download the Fanboose Sports app.
00:16:08It's the best place for all live betting and same-game parlays, and it pays out instantly.
00:16:13And who wins tonight, the Pacers or the Cavs?
00:16:16I'll go with the Cavs.
00:16:17See, we did not need a director or producer for this.
00:16:21Good to have Kenneth and Slim weigh in from Atlanta.
00:16:24We saw some of the injured pieces for the Cavaliers.
00:16:29Sam Merrill now is inserted for the first time tonight for Kenny Atkinson.
00:16:34Here comes Strews' contacts, and they're going to put him at the free-throw line.
00:16:38So Donovan Mitchell, quick start.
00:16:39Jared, I understand you spent some time with Mr. Mitchell early this morning.
00:16:44What did you find out?
00:16:44Yeah, knowing that Garland Mobley and Hunter would all be out tonight, Donovan told me that
00:16:48he is not approaching tonight's game as if he has to score 70 points to try to win.
00:16:53Now, in years past, he said he got caught up in scoring.
00:16:55This year, Mitchell said it's been about uplifting his teammates.
00:16:59Reflecting on some of those playoff runs he had with the Jazz,
00:17:01because Mitchell felt like he actually believed in himself too much
00:17:05to the point that it would inhibit him from making simple plays.
00:17:09But, guys, that doesn't mean Mitchell won't be aggressive tonight.
00:17:11And actions versus words, right, in the first few minutes of this game,
00:17:15he's already taken six shots.
00:17:17He has wasted no time, but Kenny Atkinson has talked about
00:17:20some of those early conversations, unlocking Mobley,
00:17:23maybe pulling back a little bit,
00:17:25and everything worked to perfection during the regular season.
00:17:27But, Greg, as you know, better than anyone.
00:17:30Boy, it's just different in the playoffs.
00:17:32Now the injuries.
00:17:33How does Mitchell navigate all of that?
00:17:36It's going to be important, but I tell you,
00:17:38this stretch here with all of the substitutions in
00:17:42also equally as important,
00:17:43because it was when they went to the bench in Game 1,
00:17:46the Pacers, that they start to really create some separation.
00:17:50And let's see if they can be the Cavs
00:17:52a little more connected defensively here to start.
00:17:55T.J. McConnell into the game.
00:17:57You saw the drought for the Pacers.
00:17:58Turner, Art, Fink.
00:18:00And the officials are going to get Allen on a reach-in foul.
00:18:10The NBA on TNT is brought to you by the Kia Telluride X-Line.
00:18:15Kia, official automotive partner of the NBA.
00:18:19So seven straight for the Cavs.
00:18:22Indiana, Greg has missed six straight shots,
00:18:25and we kind of wondered how will they perform against this Cleveland team
00:18:29when those three-point shots aren't falling.
00:18:31And this is one of those stretches right now.
00:18:34I think the bigger thing, too, Spiro,
00:18:36is they haven't gotten their running game going.
00:18:39And credit the Cavs.
00:18:41You notice that they're not creating a lot of offense off the pass.
00:18:45There's a lot more dribbling to start this game from the Pacers.
00:18:48That's not necessarily the strength of their offense.
00:18:53Both teams struggling from the field.
00:18:56Cavaliers four of their first 13.
00:18:58As Benedict Matherin fighting on that little thing against Struz.
00:19:02Indiana is 3 of 11 shooting and 1 of 6 from deep.
00:19:06Yeah, and that possession right there is indicative of what they've got to do.
00:19:10You saw the early hedge-out double on Ty Jerome.
00:19:14Instead of holding on to it,
00:19:15immediately moves it to Allen, who finds Struz,
00:19:18and then that creates the foul there.
00:19:20They need more of that.
00:19:22They've got to play where the ball moves and strong the weak side
00:19:25in more of their possessions
00:19:27because that's where you find the cracks in this Pacers defense.
00:19:31Matherin picks up the second and just in two minutes.
00:19:34And Merrill rips one from deep.
00:19:36Cavaliers now two of their first five from the three-point line.
00:19:44Turner, lead pass Halliburton.
00:19:47That ball moving like a hot potato for the Pacers.
00:19:50They just can't shoot straight at the start.
00:19:51Topping.
00:19:52One of the other adjustments I really like from the Cavs.
00:19:54They've gone with a corral on T.J. McConnell,
00:19:57who is a much better defender,
00:20:00especially against a crappy player like McConnell.
00:20:05Halliburton threads the needle.
00:20:06Locked up into Turner's pass, but topping too high.
00:20:11That transition that was so surgical in game one,
00:20:14just a little bit off kilter here at the start.
00:20:16Beautiful pass.
00:20:20This is O'Coro underneath, and he has it in.
00:20:23Just another good decision by Ty Jerome
00:20:26in getting a time out here from Rick Carlisle.
00:20:29Cavs got this place rocking.
00:20:31Time for greatness on the court, fueled by Gatorade.
00:20:41And one of the adjustments,
00:20:42they've run their offense a little more through Jared Allen.
00:20:45They're making him a decision maker,
00:20:47and he has come through here early.
00:20:49You see nice read here on that lob inside to O'Coro.
00:20:53They've done a much better job of not trying to beat you with the dribble,
00:20:59but making you guard the pass.
00:21:01They've also made an adjustment that you noticed with their defense.
00:21:04What have you seen from the Cavs defensively?
00:21:06The initial thrust, they haven't allowed them to get out and run to the corners,
00:21:12and they forced him to then have to put the ball on the floor
00:21:14to try to create better spacing, and they've extended.
00:21:17I love using O'Coro, who's probably their best perimeter defender,
00:21:22and so they utilized him on McConnell.
00:21:24Now he's going to get the pass with Halliburton.
00:21:27Boy, Emhart, crafty, finding some daylight underneath.
00:21:31First field goal in more than six minutes for the Pacers.
00:21:33And one thing if you're the Cavs, too, make the Pacers a two-point team.
00:21:38Don't allow them all that spacing and ball movement
00:21:40where they can pick your part and shoot threes.
00:21:44There comes Allen trying to cock it back and throw it down.
00:21:47He's going to get to the free throw line.
00:21:50Boy, he was so good.
00:21:52Such crazy efficiency in that first-round sweep against the Heat,
00:21:56a series in which basically everyone was playing out of their minds,
00:21:59but he is such a valued piece here for this Cleveland team,
00:22:02especially on a night like tonight.

00:22:18And you talked about it.
00:22:19The thing that they're doing,
00:22:21the Pacers are extending their defense a little more with Mitchell and Ty Jerome.
00:22:25And credit Mitchell and Jerome making the early feed to Garrett Allen,
00:22:30who has made a lot of good plays here in terms of his decision-making in the half court.
00:22:38Nembhard trying to get Merrill onto his back.
00:22:40Chisels his way into the paint.
00:22:41Misses back of the rim.
00:22:42Thomas Bryant has checked in for Rick Carlisle
00:22:45and grabs the offensive rebound.
00:22:48Andrew Nembhard poked away,
00:22:50and Tony Brothers says it belongs to the Cavs.
00:22:54I'll tell you what, he's not the defensive player of the year this year,
00:22:56but Garrett Allen is a difference maker defensively.
00:23:01Hedging out there on the pick and roll,
00:23:03rim protection, communication.
00:23:05He is doing it all here for the Cavs.
00:23:08Pacers have as many field goals as turnovers so far
00:23:11as we are under the four-minute mark in the first quarter.
00:23:14Shepard trying to defend Mitchell.
00:23:16Mitchell stops in a dive to spin the fake.
00:23:20Offensive brilliance from Donovan Mitchell.
00:23:27And that's an advantage the Cavs have that the Pacers have.
00:23:31They've got a guy that can consistently win one-on-one matchups against great defense,
00:23:37and that's an example of it there.
00:23:39They're such a luxury to have in these hotly contested postseason games.
00:23:46The offensive genius of his game for a guy his size, the body control.
00:23:53Greg, it just leaves you breathless sometimes watching this guy perform,
00:23:57especially under the bright lights of the NBA postseason.
00:24:00And, you know, he's not really tall, but he's really wide.
00:24:04And he's got tremendously long arms, and that width gives him great leverage.
00:24:10Charles Barkley was a player like that.
00:24:11He was only 6'5 as a power forward, but he had such great leverage with the width of that body
00:24:17and made it really hard to defend.
00:24:19I think Chuck would appreciate that insight.
00:24:24Yeah, he's a little wider now than he used to be, but...
00:24:28That was uncalled for.
00:24:29No.
00:24:31Jared Allen, meantime, just picks up his second personal GA, so that's kind of a big deal.
00:24:36You see with Bryant, they get entangled off the ball.
00:24:39And they expect he's going to sit.
00:24:42Yeah, and listen, he was probably going to come out of this stretch anyway.
00:24:45He's gone almost nine minutes.
00:24:47They knew he wasn't going to play 48, and they also expected to go small with Wade at the 5 for stretches.
00:24:57What a difference in Cleveland's defense.
00:24:59Creating tempo and controlling the pace so far is top end with a snatch.
00:25:057-point Cavs lead.
00:25:07Obi Toppin gave Rick Carlisle some really solid minutes in Game 1.
00:25:12There comes McConnell.
00:25:15M. Hart.
00:25:17Travel.
00:25:17You see the point-of-attack defense, though.
00:25:19To start in this first quarter, their point-of-attack defense, the Cavs,
00:25:23infinitely better than we saw in Game 1.
00:25:25You don't see the Pacers able to consistently get two feet in the paint
00:25:29where you have to force help, and then you can put the Cavs in rotation.
00:25:33So back-to-back turnovers, now six committed by the Pacers.
00:25:37Donovan Mitchell, six points already on the attack to the rim, and more free throws forthcoming.
00:25:49And now Mitchell, a little bit late to get to his feet.
00:25:52The officials get Toppin.
00:25:53That's the last thing that this crowd wants to see his first.
00:25:58And remember, Mitchell's also dealing with a bit of a calf strain.
00:26:03So, you can see they're agonizing a little bit.
00:26:07But I like the strategy.
00:26:09You notice he knows he hasn't had the feel from three.
00:26:13But tonight, he's not reliant upon it.
00:26:16You saw 11 attempts in that first game.
00:26:18He's only taken one here thus far.
00:26:19Everything has been about getting to the front of the rim.
00:26:23And you alluded to it earlier, the evolution of his game,
00:26:26pulling back on the reins a little bit, empowering his teammates.
00:26:30Now, in this set of circumstances, no Mobley, no DeAndre Hunter, no Garland.
00:26:35Do you expect Mitchell to try to take the game over at times?
00:26:39I think he has an ability to take the game over without having to take 30 shots.
00:26:44And so, if you look around our league, there are certain guys that can control a game.
00:26:49I think Halliburton's one of them.
00:26:51He does it differently.
00:26:51He controls it with the pass.
00:26:53And I think if you're Donovan Mitchell, he's got to balance it.
00:26:56He's got to create a lot more opportunities for this group
00:26:59because they don't have a lot of guys that can create space on their own.
00:27:04It's going to be relied upon his talent to do that for this group.
00:27:08Jaris Walker has checked in now for Rick Carlisle, 13-4 run by Cleveland.
00:27:15Underneath McConnell, setting the table for Siakam.
00:27:19That's a really good job by McConnell,
00:27:21understanding the importance of just putting pressure on that rim,
00:27:25forcing the help, and then creating that opportunity.
00:27:28Mitchell to the rack and knee smith, who is really as good as you can expect
00:27:33in his primary defense of Donovan Mitchell in game one, able to get the clean strip.
00:27:38Yeah, even though the Pacers like to get out and run,
00:27:41they have some dogs on the defensive side.
00:27:44Kneesmith, Nembhard, these are guys, Matthew, they get after it defensively.
00:27:49Javonte Green into the game for the first time in the series.
00:27:52He didn't play the other night.
00:27:53Mitchell three to shoot, up to the rim, and boy, he's taking some punishment.
00:27:58Fishers are going to get Siakam,
00:28:00as Mitchell will take his fourth and fifth free throws of the quarter.
00:28:05First personal on Siakam.
00:28:07Remember, nine free throw attempts in game one, already going to be up to five here.
00:28:12And it's the other thing about attacking the rim,
00:28:16it forces help and it also gives you much better floor balance for your defensive transition.
00:28:21So getting to the line, getting to the rim,
00:28:24it gives you a much better chance to slow that Pacers offense down.
00:28:30Download the FanDuel Sportsbook app today and make every playoff moment mean more on America's number one sportsbook.
00:28:38Donovan Mitchell, eighth on the all-time playoff scoring list, just unbelievable numbers, nearly 28 per game.
00:28:45But again, the only question at this point, can you get this team on a deep run?
00:28:50He's never been past this round of the playoffs.
00:28:53One year is a one seed with the Utah Jazz.
00:28:57Is this the year where they're up against it tonight?
00:29:01Down 1-0, and missing some key pieces.
00:29:05The crowd wanted to travel, and they wanted to push Walker from deep, well short.
00:29:14And last touched by Siakam.
00:29:16I tell you what, their defense is making the Pacers' offense defensive.
00:29:21They really are struggling.
00:29:23They're on their heels right now, a little unsure of how they want to attack in the half court.
00:29:28In the half court.
00:29:29Merrill!
00:29:30Yes!
00:29:31Yes!
00:29:32Oh, oh, oh.
00:29:39Oh!
00:29:41Oh, oh!
00:29:56The Cleveland Cavaliers on a 23-6 run.
00:30:01With 118 left for the craziness of the NBA playoffs how good the Pacers look in game one tonight
00:30:07Cleveland seems like missing half their team no Mobley no Garland no hunter and look at how good they've been so far
00:30:15Urgency that point of attack defense and the ability to control the transition has been on display here in the first quarter
00:30:22So we get the final 60 seconds of the quarter shot clock at five McConnell looking for some day late
00:30:28Defense from the Cavs just suffocating
00:30:31Another turn over
00:30:35This is where your game plan discipline
00:30:38Comes into play they understand the importance of McConnell's ability with this second unit to get into the paint
00:30:46And they have done a terrific job of really not allowing him to dictate the possession with the dribble
00:30:53Interesting Rick Carlisle comes back with Benedict Matherin who picked up two really quick fouls. He's been on the bench most of the quarter
00:30:59But sensing a huge momentum shift here comes back with a
00:31:02Okoro from deep
00:31:06Offensive rebound Wade
00:31:09Mitchell extra feed
00:31:11There comes back with a
00:31:18There comes back with a push final 30 plus seconds
00:31:2030-plus seconds this is Brian with the interception this is just a completely
00:31:32different team
00:31:35Merrill
00:31:50You always want to see how your team handles adversity and give the Cavs a lot of credit here in this first quarter
00:32:03Here in Cleveland the script has been flipped the Cavaliers throw the first punch
00:32:13Try to even his best-of-seven series the NBA playoffs presented by Google
00:32:20Time now for play your own way presented by PayPal what an offensive start for the Cavs and Donovan Mitchell
00:32:33Right at the epicenter as he always is a couple seconds ago Jerry Greenberg with Rick Carlisle
00:32:41Coach with the Cavs missing three key rotation players one of the adjustments that your team needs to make
00:32:47Well right now. This is the power of hard play and
00:32:51They they're the ones that are carrying the day
00:32:54Eight first quarter turnovers. What will be your message to your team on how to clean that up?
00:32:59We got to play harder. We got put more force. All right. Thanks guys
00:33:03All right not to start to the corner Rick Carlisle was looking for
00:33:07As Dean Wade who makes the start tonight his 31st start of the season in place of the injured Evan Motley
00:33:13Fails on their lead here comes
00:33:16Siakam big shot for the Pacers. They just need to see the ball go through the basket something easy and
00:33:24Donovan Mitchell though has been in control of this game. He is dictating right now
00:33:28Four assists already yet forces the entire game one
00:33:33So he has been doing everything to get this Cavs offense
00:33:36Kickstarted T.J. McConnell trying to force the issue. No whistle
00:33:4210th Pacers turnover already
00:33:46Tyrese Halliburton still on the bench for Rick Carlisle to begin a second
00:33:51With McConnell handling the point
00:33:54Donovan Mitchell the orchestrator Wade from deep
00:33:57Offensive rebound Merrill Struz will pull
00:34:06Boy way get extra possessions for the Cavs. He has been incredible this game. He's won so many possessions
00:34:18Finally the Pacers
00:34:20able to track down a rebound
00:34:22Well, can Indiana weather the storm a team that really developed into one of the top road teams in the league this season?
00:34:30Looking for some offense and try to get calibrated now at this end of the floor mcconnell
00:34:35He's able to knock that down, but what I love you see Halliburton there is they're going through their veteran
00:34:40See our last few possessions. He's kind of settled them down
00:34:43They've gotten much better shots here in this quarter couple of minutes gone by in the second
00:34:49Good movement Struz in the corner good rotations by the Pacers
00:34:54Struz to reset Merrill he's got to work quickly to the shoot elevates
00:35:01Long rebound McConnell
00:35:03Looking for some mates pulls up free throw line jumper and hits
00:35:07That is one of the few times where TJ McConnell has been able to get where he wants
00:35:12Kenny Atkinson wants to squash that momentum 6-0 run here by the Pacers
00:35:19Time now for a fight for victory presented by Modelo
00:35:25Conference semis going back to
00:35:27Eighty three and eighty four you see what the road team has done
00:35:32First Golden State Minnesota coming up game one of that series next on TNT
00:35:39Indiana showing some life
00:35:41for the first time in a couple of minutes
00:35:43And they need it. They said their offense has just been disjointed
00:35:48They've been rattled a little bit in terms of how they attack and credit the Cavs
00:35:54for kind of setting the tone defensively heard Rick Carlisle talk about it
00:36:00Tyrese Halliburton is still on the bench
00:36:02Back Struz working towards the corner
00:36:08There is another three
00:36:12No doubt this is the Cavs team they look about a half step quicker than we saw in game one
00:36:18A lot more confident
00:36:19Craig Porter Jr second year undrafted player out of Wichita State has come into the game for the Cavs
00:36:28He's been into the corner
00:36:30Matherin put a little fake got Merrill the bite
00:36:33I believe Matherin had cleared the three-point line indeed he did
00:36:38And so free throw is forthcoming here for the Pacers
00:36:41And so free throw is forthcoming here for the Pacers
00:36:44You know we talked in game one how
00:36:47The Pacers are as good as anybody in the league at using their offense to create offense. That hasn't been the case here
00:36:54Tonight they have not been able to dictate and they have struggled to create great looks in the half court
00:37:01So Benedict Matherin as Halliburton still resting on that Indiana bench
00:37:07Matherin career year
00:37:11In terms of his shooting numbers this season
00:37:14That they took with a lottery pick back in 2022 sixth overall pick
00:37:20Trying to cut into the deficit here early stages second quarter
00:37:26In game two with the Pacers up 1-0 in the series
00:37:30And this is a game with the Cavs being three bodies short
00:37:35Then you having a strength being your bench
00:37:37And you've got to feel like this next stretch with Mitchell
00:37:40On the bench you've got to be able to cut into this lead
00:37:44To give yourselves a great opportunity in the second half
00:37:48Delayed game morning here against Indiana
00:37:54So the lead which at one point was 20 is down to 14
00:38:00As we cross the nine-minute mark quarter two
00:38:03Allen trying to create some space hounded by Bryant
00:38:09Off the hands of Porter
00:38:11Turnover
00:38:11McConnell
00:38:12Excellent defensive recovery
00:38:16As he takes away a layup from McConnell
00:38:20That's an impressive play by Porter
00:38:22Off a lot of ball turnover
00:38:23Just doesn't quit on the play
00:38:25And how about the timing
00:38:27To come up with that block
00:38:28But that was the best defensive possession
00:38:30We have seen
00:38:32From the Pacers
00:38:33They really extended the defense
00:38:35Didn't allow the Cavs to get into their offenses
00:38:38They come back with their starters
00:38:42One thing Rick Carlisle touched on in our conversation with him before the game
00:38:45He said you know we do a lot of self scouting
00:38:48And one thing we know it's no secret
00:38:50When Tyrese Halliburton doesn't score a good amount of points
00:38:53Their win percentage is really dipped
00:38:56Halliburton so far has only taken one shot
00:38:58Two points Pascal Siakam didn't take his first shot
00:39:01Till basically the last minute of the first quarter
00:39:05As we get a little bit of a delay here
00:39:06Crowd getting restless
00:39:10But but that also speaks to them not
00:39:13Executing offensively because they're not a team
00:39:16That just relies on winning one-on-one battle
00:39:18They allow their offense and their execution
00:39:21And the Cavs have done a great job of not allowing that to be the case here
00:39:25In the first half
00:39:27So Matherin missed the layup at one end of that Strews
00:39:30Off target boy Tyrese Halliburton was a little bit
00:39:34Cobbled behind the plate looks like he's clutching in his left hand
00:39:37What a big developing story this could be is Halliburton in clear pain and he may have to come out of the game
00:39:43Miles Turner meantime is going to shoot free throws
00:39:46As the athletic trainer is summoned for indiana
00:39:48He's trying to shake that off where that would be a massive
00:39:54Loss he doesn't seem like he wants to come out though
00:39:57So it looks like Halliburton is going to stay on the floor
00:40:17Hard to see from that vantage point as Turner hits on both
00:40:20So they've cut it to 12 as we come up on eight minutes left in the quarter
00:40:24The defense has definitely gotten better here for the Pacers
00:40:32Ty Jerome still looking for his first points he's all three shooting into the paint
00:40:37That'll hip pocket pass to set up Allen
00:40:42And the Cavs are going to take their 10th and 11th free throws of the half
00:40:46And I think Ty Jerome is doing a much better job now he
00:40:50Took 20 shots in game one
00:40:53But it's the playmaking and decision making that's improved he's being more patient
00:40:59And not just settling
00:41:04As we take a little peek at the upcoming playoff schedule
00:41:08TNT tomorrow we'll have a couple of game twos
00:41:12What a start to that series for the Knicks about both those games last night
00:41:16Unbelievable man those are incredible
00:41:18Denver okay, see and
00:41:21Or the nba app for the complete playoff schedule
00:41:25What is who Kevin right now?
00:41:28This time of year with the nba playoff starting to cook
00:41:31Andrew nimhard fights his way into the paint
00:41:35We said Turner
00:41:38Boy Porter
00:41:40How about the activity level from the Cavs and porter jr doing a terrific job of being active with those hands
00:41:54And look how far out they've extended the offense of the patient
00:41:59Boy can Halliburton start to pick up his offensive pace only his second field goal
00:42:0613-point game
00:42:09Good movement into the corner this is porter jr. He will fire
00:42:12And the rebound controlled by indiana haliburton
00:42:17But again the Cavs able to get back
00:42:22Turner on the box doubled up to get it to topping
00:42:27Wings out the tip by turner no strews clears
00:42:30Here comes jerome trying to get haliburton on his hips this is short okoro had it knocked away by dimhardt
00:42:43Pacers looking to push
00:42:45Mad point from deep
00:42:49They're not knocking shots out but they're getting better looks here
00:42:54Miles turner on a deep shot
00:42:57They are definitely doing a better job of trying to force the pace and i think it starts with their defense they're
00:43:04Definitely picking up their intensity on that end
00:43:08Ty jerome misses badly
00:43:10Tapped out by topping and nimhardt tracks it down
00:43:13So we come up on the midway point of the quarter indiana has
00:43:17Chipped away what was a 20-point cleveland lead it's down to 10
00:43:21Whistle blown off the ball tony brothers
00:43:29Looks like it's going to be off ball against the calves
00:43:35So isaac okoro whistled for his first trying to deny the low post to turner
00:43:43Yeah, not a ton there you you expect to see that level of physicality
00:43:48On the block but the good news is you're allowed to get donovan mitchell back into the game because
00:43:53The pacers now started to get a little rhythm offensively
00:43:59Turner turns and easily is able to shoot over the top
00:44:04So miles turner back-to-back field goals and we got an eight-point game
00:44:07Can the caps get their offense?
00:44:15We need it eight straight for indiana jerome into the paint floater
00:44:22Doesn't get the bounce strews
00:44:26How about the effort bear by strews he read that miss
00:44:31Able to get in and get the offensive rebound and that was a much needed basket here for the cat
00:44:36By turner man been a little jersey tight from the back, but it's another indiana turnover
00:44:43What a play by strews and then a finish by allen and it's those 50 50 balls the extra possessions you saw strews there
00:44:50We saw wade earlier keeping possessions alive
00:44:54And the cleveland cavaliers
00:45:09answering the bell here in game two
00:45:13Plug trainer carl eat and wrapping up that left wrist and while the trainer was talking with halliburton
00:45:18He appeared to be in some discomfort there with that wrist, but he remains on the court guys
00:45:23All right, so good news
00:45:25At least so far for halliburton and the pacers
00:45:28You've just joined this indiana was down 20 points
00:45:31earlier in the half, but boy they're making their push
00:45:34aaron neesmith who was sensational in game one 17 points he hit four threes
00:45:40And he's credit to 10 strews
00:45:46Okay, we have seen this
00:45:49type of shooting exports from the calves before
00:45:53They have been lights out from deep max strews
00:45:57Already his fourth three of the half as halliburton answers and goes glass
00:46:02Keep in mind only nine main three in game one already eight here in the first half
00:46:09Donovan Mitchell still struggling from deep
00:46:13And now looks like maybe of a shot clock issue. I don't believe mitchell's three hit the rim
00:46:22I believe they reset the shot clock, but we'll have to take another look here
00:46:32So it looks like they're going to adjust the shot clock here
00:46:42With nick booker at the table talking to the score operators
00:46:51Actually, it was above 14, so
00:46:55I think it looks like they're going to keep it where it is
00:46:57So we come up on the four minute mark before the half
00:47:04max strews
00:47:06Mitchell against nebhardt
00:47:08boy that lightning
00:47:13But i like how they're utilizing donovan he's been a much more willing passer here
00:47:19Getting his teammates involved forcing the calves to have to think a little bit more
00:47:23He's been that slight little hesitation
00:47:30Got his defender in the air and free throws coming up for indiana and the difference on that possession
00:47:35He's not facing a loaded defense because of the ball movement now
00:47:38You're not in a position to bring the help
00:47:41Just good execution offensively to create some space for your best player
00:47:46So aaron me smith first free throws of the night for the fifth year player
00:47:54first couple of years with boston in the trade
00:47:58summer of 22
00:48:02first
00:48:04bnba on tnt is brought to you by hyundai customer assurance putting people first what affordability matters most
00:48:12What a player he's become we asked for carlisle about me smith
00:48:18Said he just can't put enough value on guys who can defend on the wing and shoot
00:48:23He talked about when they first got him he showed up and went to the team
00:48:27He was two years into his career heading into year three and he told him he wanted to play on the summer league team
00:48:32And it was the first indicator the kind of player he is
00:48:34Yeah, his character on display there and the other thing he's really improved with the decision making
00:48:43And the anticipation example there defensively
00:48:49First turn over the quarter committed by cleveland
00:48:53Siakam nemhart wide open won't get a better look than that and this thing is down to single digits
00:49:00And that's been a few times now where siakam's had a post up
00:49:05And the calves have fallen asleep and lost cutters
00:49:10But that thing kept alive initially by
00:49:19Dean wade again how about the offensive rebounding from the calves here even though they're short-handed
00:49:26Their effort and hustling in a great read thereby weighed and cut by mitchell for the deuce
00:49:34Already sixth free throw of the night for mitchell 16 points
00:49:44Again playing through some three-point woes he's all three from beef
00:49:48It has had very little effect on his motor here in game two
00:49:5512-point game as we cross the three-minute mark
00:50:01Calibur
00:50:04Doing his dance fakes
00:50:07turner to the shoot
00:50:13Suffocating defense again another example where they cannot break down the defense
00:50:19And this is a team that is not built
00:50:22On individual iso plays rick carlisle talked about before the game they're not
00:50:26That kind of team they really rely on execution
00:50:30And their ability to get into the paint
00:50:33To create spacing and opportunity this is merrill
00:50:37Short-armed boy bean wait again flying in for a potential offensive rebound as it belongs to indiana
00:50:44With 223 left in his first half
00:50:47We've talked about the anyway six rebounds already in this game a steal he's paid play terrific defense as well
00:51:01Indiana shooting percentage now as a team is up to 48 percent
00:51:04We'll leave action at the top haliburton with six on the timer
00:51:13Sizes up allen creeps into the paint fades away off the spin
00:51:20That's haliburton's first miss in four attempts mitchell
00:51:23That was impressive
00:51:28Going deep into his bag he set me to the buff on that play there that was an impressive finish by mitchell
00:51:36Andrew nimhard with a silencer
00:51:40And is poorly in stretches as the pacers have played 12 point games they're still within striking distance
00:51:47Come on
00:51:50A little bit of contact no whistle
00:51:53Green play back turner
00:51:55Siakam gonna get him reset turner excellent position underneath he had merrill sealed off
00:52:01And the immediate recognition so this is going to put turner at the free throw line
00:52:06And you can see he sees
00:52:10Kneesmith there and there's a little bit of a push with his left hand
00:52:13And in that last foul there you can see just a great job of turner being big
00:52:25So penalty situation for the remaining minute 20 of the half
00:52:31And miles turner
00:52:35Seven postseason with the Pacers one of six players in the history of the franchise
00:52:41To play 10 years or more with indiana
00:52:46One of two at the line 11 point game
00:52:5070 seconds
00:52:52mitchell elevates
00:52:54Desperately trying to find his three-point stroke. He's now all for four
00:53:00One of the things that allowed the Pacers be kind of hanging there. He has not found
00:53:06That rhythm from deep
00:53:10Cavaliers are out of fouls
00:53:12Allibert working against Allen
00:53:14Jeff Steppen
00:53:15Emhard open catch and shoot well short
00:53:19Turner from deep
00:53:21Big shot for the Pacers
00:53:24And here comes indiana again
00:53:28As tony brothers blows the whistle
00:53:30It's indiana getting a little bit closer here in cleveland
00:53:36Yeah, not a good foul there by nemhard
00:53:40Actually, I take that back. I thought there were free throws there
00:53:42So that ends up being a good foul because he was playing downhill there
00:53:46And you just talked about listen
00:53:48The Pacers this quarter
00:53:50Offensively, they hit terrific 34 points thus far they put up here
00:53:54So they found their rhythm and got back to playing Pacers ball
00:54:04Donovan Mitchell taking their breath away here in cleveland
00:54:08Allibert little body bumping he's going to shoot free throws
00:54:20He has not been able to find the range from three but
00:54:24At the rim he has been dynamic
00:54:26Not a lot you're going to do with that if you're Pascal Siakam
00:54:35There are moments watching him play on a basketball court
00:54:39GA where you just throw your head back
00:54:44One of the elite stars in the sport
00:54:47Under the great legs of the playoffs as Halliburton misfires on the first
00:54:50You get this window in his incredible a talent as he is again still not finding that range only one of 15
00:54:59That's far in this series from three
00:55:01But he has been incredible
00:55:04From two all series thus far now though if you're the Pacers team
00:55:11With this free throw and then try to get a stop and build some momentum going into the half
00:55:17That's the day
00:55:18Jarus Walker comes in for with Carlisle siakam sits
00:55:24Didn't look like siakam was pleased to sit 21.8 left before the break
00:55:32So a nine-point game
00:55:34Tyrese Halliburton has a
00:55:36Donovan Mitchell meantime has hit for the last nine points for cleveland
00:55:47Indiana is out of fouls.
00:55:50Mitchell four seconds lead.
00:55:52That's Allen.
00:55:53And Tony Brothers blows the whistle.
00:55:56So contact a little bit low.
00:55:58And that's going to put Jared Allen at the free throw line.
00:56:01That was a great read.
00:56:02And they had three guys on Mitchell there.
00:56:05They rotate early.
00:56:09And then Jared Allen couldn't really get his leverage to go up strong.
00:56:14But you see the hole there.
00:56:16So Bryant whistled for his first.
00:56:18Biggest takeaway, G.A., for you in this first half.
00:56:20I thought the defensive prowess in that first quarter from Cleveland.
00:56:25I thought that really set the tone.
00:56:27I remember you talked to a lot of NBA coaches.
00:56:30They'll tell you that first quarter oftentimes determines how the game is going to be played.
00:56:35Who's going to be in control of that.
00:56:38And the Cavs showed a lot.
00:56:40Being shorthanded.
00:56:41Coming out.
00:56:42Making a statement.
00:56:43Holding them to 15 points.
00:56:45Now, having said that, they give up 35 in that second.
00:56:49And the Pacers have to feel pretty good about being right back in this thing.
00:56:54So Allen converts.
00:56:56Under three seconds.
00:56:58Baseball pass.
00:56:59Siakam.
00:56:59Trying to get a clean look.
00:57:01And that's going to get us to halftime here in Cleveland.
00:57:05The Cavaliers, in a high-stakes environment, built a 20-point lead.
00:57:14They're up 11 at halftime.
00:57:16Second round coverage on TNT is presented by Wingstop.
00:57:23Beautiful sunset over Lake Erie, downtown Cleveland with the Cavaliers about to take an 11-point lead into the second half.
00:57:46As we welcome you back, courtside Spiro, Adidas, Greg Anthony.
00:57:48We'll hear from Jared here in just a couple of minutes.
00:57:50We wondered what Cleveland's defense would look like without their anchor, the defensive player of the year, Evan Mobley.
00:57:56And they are still defending GA at a very high level.
00:57:58What did you see?
00:57:59They've done such a great job at the point of attack.
00:58:02They kept them out of transition and forced them to play later in the shot clock.
00:58:06And notice that paint.
00:58:07The ball does not get into the interior.
00:58:10And that's really been the key in that first half, particularly in that first quarter.
00:58:14They did a great job of contraining the dribble.
00:58:17Their spacing was disrupted.
00:58:19And then the help and recovery on display as well.
00:58:22They just never allowed the Pacers to get comfortable.
00:58:26Look how poor their spacing is here.
00:58:28It allows you to dictate defensively how that possession is going to go.
00:58:33And that was the key, I thought, to getting the Cavs back into rhythm.
00:58:38So adjustments have been made.
00:58:40Jared working the sidelines for us.
00:58:41Jared, you spoke to Lloyd Pierce, Indiana's assistant coach.
00:58:44What did he tell you?
00:58:45Well, I asked him if there's any concern for Tyrese Halliburton in that injured left wrist.
00:58:49He said, no, no concern at all.
00:58:50He'll be out there.
00:58:50He'll be fine.
00:58:51However, I have learned during halftime, Halliburton did get that wrist x-rayed.
00:58:56They are waiting for results.
00:58:57Obviously, he's out there.
00:58:58And there appears to be a significantly more tape on that wrist than there was in the first half.
00:59:05They got that thing taped.
00:59:06I'm sure they worked on it after the x-ray at halftime.
00:59:10As Indiana comes up empty on its first trip.
00:59:13Donovan Mitchell put all kinds of pressure on his defense.
00:59:16Poked away to keep it alive.
00:59:20Way from the...
00:59:21Look at Mitchell just playing on a different...
00:59:25And it's also their ability to dominate that offensive blast.
00:59:31You know, you go back to game one.
00:59:32They took 15 more shots in that game.
00:59:36It didn't end up in a win, but a similar dynamic here.
00:59:3912 more shots in that first half for the cast.
00:59:43Indiana gets it back after another turnover.
00:59:45And then it's Turner.
00:59:47Little leaner on the baseline.
00:59:49And Miles Turner now 17 points.
00:59:52Putting together a big night here in game two.
00:59:56For a beautiful lead, Strews to fake.
00:59:59Mitchell, good close.
01:00:00Nimble.
