00:00Hello. If you're heading out early this morning, you may need a coat, but you might want to ditch it later on today because even though it's a bit fresh first thing, our temperatures are going to rise quite quickly because there will be a decent amount of sun on offer and that's going to burn any mist and fog patches that we have at the moment.
00:17They're quickly going to clear and then really through much of the day, it's looking largely sunny, a bit of cloud bubbling up here and there and perhaps a bit more cloud towards the far northwest because there's a front trying to get close to the UK, but generally it's looking like it will stay dry and my attention is drawn a little bit to some showers coming close to the southwest, close to southern Devon and Cornwall perhaps, but I think they're going to stay to the south of us for the time being.
00:42With a decent amount of sunshine on offer, temperatures, if anything, are going to be a little bit higher than yesterday. We're looking at highs in the, well, high teens, low 20s quite widely, low to mid 20s in some places, highs around 24, possibly even 25 Celsius.
00:57With that though, do take care if you are going to be outside for any long periods of time. We do have some pretty high levels of UV as you would expect.
01:04Then later on, as we go through the rest of today, those showers that I drew your attention to earlier, they're going to become a bit more widespread.
01:12Still some question marks as to exactly what they're going to do, but there is the potential for some heavy, possibly thundery downpours to kick off, particularly across parts of Devon and Cornwall,
01:21but maybe other parts of southwest England into Wales as we go overnight into two tomorrow.
01:27Elsewhere, it's another dry picture for many places, some clear skies. Again, it could be a bit of a fresh start for some places first thing tomorrow morning.
01:35Then through tomorrow, those showers still causing us some headaches as to exactly where they're going to develop and how intense they're going to be,
01:42but there's the potential that we could see some impacts. We could see rainfall totals of 20 to 40 millimetres, maybe even a little bit more than that in some places.
01:50And a large chunk of that rain could come in just a few hours, and that's enough to cause some flash flooding perhaps in a few places.
01:57Add to that the frequent lightning, a bit of hail mixed in, there could be some issues.
02:01So definitely want to keep an eye out for it, especially if you have outdoor plans tomorrow across parts of the southwest, maybe Wales, southern England,
02:09also at risk of seeing a few of those showers, and they're likely to feed into parts of Northern Ireland later on,
02:14and we could also see a few showers popping up in parts of Scotland as well.
02:18Further east, though, actually staying dry, decent amount of sunshine on offer yet again,
02:23and temperatures, if anything, likely to be a touch higher than today, more widely mid-20s.
02:2826 isn't out of the question, so that's pretty warm, even for the time of year.
02:33Then as we go into next week, the risk of some showers continues across parts of the south-southwest,
02:39but it's likely to turn drier again as high pressure builds from the north,
02:43and so we should see more fine sunny weather on offer as we go through the middle to end of the week.
02:48I'll see you again soon. Bye-bye.
