Marcos: Time to set aside politics  President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. tells the media  during the Alyansa Para sa Pagbabago slate's thanksgiving party in Mandaluyong City on May 17, 2025 that 'we all wish we had better results but, you know, we live to fight another day. But now it's time, I think, to put all the politics aside. It's time to put all of the issues that were raised during the election and only talk about not political issues but developmental issues, healthcare issues, education issues, agricultural issues, supply issues, all of these things.' 00:14Kami, nangasalay kami dito sa ganitong klaseng trabaho, eh alam namin na napa-importante na ginagawa.

00:22The media sector of our campaign was very successful and I think that we were able to

00:29put out and occupy the narrative space very, very well, as a matter of fact.

00:36So that is what I would like to thank all of you.

00:39May yung papasalamat ako sa inyo lahat.

00:41I know you all worked very hard.

00:43We all wish we had better results, but you know, we need to fight another day.

00:50But now it's time, I think, to put all the politics aside.

00:57It's time to put all of the issues that were raised during election and only talk about

01:05not political issues, but developmental issues, healthcare issues, education issues, agricultural

01:13issues, food supply issues, all of these things.

01:16Sana naman, ako lagi kong binibilang ang araw na natin tira sa term ko.

01:23At kailangan natapos natin naman yung siguran natin.

01:26So, that's what I will ask for you to help me win in the coming three years.

01:33I know that you will, once again, as you did before, do a very, very good job and make a success

01:40of whatever it is that we are trying to do.

01:43But once again, most importantly for tonight, I'd like to thank everyone.

01:47Kapasalamat ako kayong lahat sa inyong trabaho.

01:51Taagan ko naman, napaka-dedicated inyong lahat.

01:55Kahit na hindi na ako nakapunta dito, last time ako nakapunta dito,

02:14You have to understand that we know very well.

02:18Pagka meron kaming nakikita in the media,

02:22pagka meron kami na,

02:24na, yung ating naratim ang ating story, ating panindigan,

02:32ay alam namin that you are clearly working and doing your job.

02:36And that is what we saw in this last political cycle.

02:40So let's keep it up.

02:41Let's keep it up.

02:42Let's let people know what we are doing,

02:45and let people know that we are going to continue to work hard now,

02:51and put the, as I said, politics aside.

02:54It's considered it a distraction for now.

02:58Put the politics aside, and get on with the work of nation building.

03:04So, again, I'm excited.
