ICYMI: Dallas Wings Open 2025 Season in Front of Sold-Out Crowd

The Dallas Wings kicked off the 2025 WNBA season with a 99-84 loss to the Minnesota Lynx, but the energy inside College Park Center was electric for the second straight sellout crowd. Arike Ogunbowale led the way with 16 points and 4 assists, while DiJonai Carrington added 15.

WNBA rookie Paige Bueckers made her debut, finishing with 10 points and a team-high 7 rebounds. Despite the setback, Dallas had five players score in double figures and dominated in fast break and second chance points.

00:00It was an exciting start to the home opener for the Dallas Wings as well as
00:08the debut for number one draft pick Paige Beckers during Friday night's
00:12matchup against the Minnesota Lynx. Beckers and the Wings started strong
00:16going into half against the Lynx tied neck and neck. What seemed hopeful for a
00:20Wings victory however quickly shifted into the Lynx favor as they coasted into
00:25the fourth quarter final score 99 to 84. Nafija Collier led the way for the Lynx
00:31with 34 points four rebounds and three assists. For Dallas Arike Agumbawale led
00:37all scores with 16 points. Beckers finished with 10 points seven rebounds
00:43saying that there's room to grow a long season with lots of games left to be
00:46played. Room to grow you got to have a starting point so you got to have a
00:51foundation to build on so we don't want to overreact to the loss but we also know
00:57there's a lot of things you have to clean up and get better at. The Wings will
01:00take on the Seattle Storm Monday night at 7 p.m. Central Standard Time here at
