Skiing down Mount Everest

Une descente à ski du Mt-Everest voilà donc une idée pleine de folie et bien inutile pour certains ou certaines.
It is not the first attempt to ski the Everest slopes. Back in 1970, Japanese climber Yuichiro Miura made history when he took off from near the South Col in a straight run, unfurling a parachute to brake his fall. Nearly a quarter century later, in 1992, Frenchman Pierre Tardivel did even better when he skied from just below the summit. The top 100m of Everest, however, remains untested by skiers and Karnicar is hoping it will not remain so for long.
A Japanese skier ultimately dreamed of literally skiing Mt. Everest. He planned to ski some 8,000 feet down an icy glacier at a 40 to 45 degree angle, from the 26,000 foot level near the summit. This documentary chronicles this incredible feat and the tremendous task of climbing Everest itself.
