ComedyDublin is an established comedy troupe with an ever-evolving line-up, who celebrated their 2nd birthday in May 2006 Following a successful run in the 2005 Bulmer's International Comedy Festival, where more than 500 people filled the seats and laughed exactly every 30 seconds according to the ComedyDublin's licensed laughologists, ComedyDublin is pleased to announce they were asked to return again in September 2006. It all began when a group of professional comedians met in the back room of a local drinking emporium with one goal in mind, to make people laugh. Taking their inspiration each week from the audience, the laughter followed suit. Now with two years under their belts, ComedyDublin continues to flourish and dive into their third smashing year. Regular comedians Margo Carr, Michael Connolly, Conal Carr, Gaby O'Reilly, Ben Musgrave, Therese Ballantine, Kate NíCheallaigh, Mark Hanratty, Bethanne Linstra Brian Greene and Sean Condon round up an evening/afternoon/brunch of entertainment that you can't beat with a stick. They have also organized performances exclusively for emerging or established stand-up comedians. Due to popular demand, ComedyDublin decided to take it on the road this past year, with outstanding and hilarious performances in Kildare at the nightclub, Tigerlily, Dundalk Maytime Festival in the Town Hall Theatre (garnering awards for three fabulous shows alongside the wonderful Nat Turner Revue from New York City Thanks Rich, Dameon, Dom, Mairead, Sarah, Eugene, Patrick and Kate!), and at the Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge.
