Steve says the internet has saved his life. Originally misdiagnosed as having diabetes and other conditions, he researched his symptoms online and, armed with knowledge, convinced his doctor to send him for tests which led to a correct diagnosis. Then as he battled his cancer, he found that writing his feelings helped him, and also found that sharing those writings on Macmillan's Online Community helped others.
