Mary and her band have established a solid reputation throughout Ireland, Europe and the U.S.A. with their gruelling performance schedule averaging 200 nights a year. With Mary's powerful and passionate vocal style, she and her band are known for their exciting live performances and have opened shows for blues legends John Lee Hooker, BB King, Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, Fats Domino, Johnny Copeland, Otis Rush, Big Bill Morganfield, Joe Louis Walker, Canned Heat, John Campbell, Eddie Kirkland, Keb Mo, and Eric Bibb. The Mary Stokes Band have performed with Lowell Fulson, Lefty Dizz, Louisiana Red, Mojo Buford, Byther Smith, U.P. Wilson, Fenton Robinson and Carey Bell with whom Mary toured extensively. In 2002 Mary was the featured guest vocalist with Hubert Sumlin on his Irish tour.
