Purple Diesel is Texas Hip Hop at its finest. Hailing from Austin, the group blends an old school feel with a modern pop approach to get heads bouncin. The talent level supersedes the humble talent in Austin, and it looks like The Diesel is continuing to expand its audience. The group's first single "I'm That Guy" is appealing not only to younger audiences, but has received surprising attention from older generations. Huge song hooks and captivating performances are habits of this dynamic duo, and they continue to grow with every show.
Fearless leader, Nathan Trott, has lyrics that always fit and express the mood of the song. Coming from Pennsylvania, his northern style of rap is unmistakable. His delivery will make a believer out of you. Nate also holds an ear for recognizing what will hit home with the listener.
Producer/ Guitarist Austin Gould, is a Kentucky recruit. His telecaster style gives Purple Diesel an advantage with signature licks, and a stylistic sense most players lack today. Production is also a talent of Austin's, as most of the music and hooks come from his massive gourd.
Together the band has a dynamic approach in which nothing is off limits. Purple Diesel will continue to entertain the listener through intricate song design, yet achieving it in the most simplistic and appropriate manner. You can hear in the music how much fun they have making it.
