Jealous partners and Facebook don’t mix too well. 40-year-old Tennessee resident, Lowell Turpin suspected his girlfriend of cheating and became enraged when he saw an unknown male’s photo on her facebook page. He demanded answers from her, who told him the picture was of Mitt Romney. Not recognizing Romney, Turpin became angry that his girlfriend was “attempting to communicate with friends through her Facebook account” and grabbed the laptop, smashed it against a wall, then punched her in the face. He was arrested and charged with domestic assault.

The list of Facebook assaults continues. Rhonda Roshell Washington, from Texas was arrested after allegedly chasing her spouse around the house with a knife, eventually stabbing him in the hand. The husband claims Washington became upset over a facebook post she had read. In another report, a Taiwanese husband with two of his friends beat a man to death after discovering flirtatious Facebook postings. The man’s wife posted “I want to get McDonalds! Which nice man will take me there?”. The reply from the victim was “I am about to arrive at your house”, which prompted the deadly confrontation.
