A group of sticky-fingered thieves in Canada have made off with a stockpile of maple syrup worth 24 million euros.

The sweet-toothed burglars stole the syrup from barrels in a warehouse in Montreal, Quebec.

Police believe they will try to sell their haul on the black market.
