German RC church to allow morning-after pill in rape cases

The Roman Catholic Church in Germany is to permit certain types of "morning-after pill" for women who have been raped.The move follows an outcry after two Catholic-run hospitals refused to treat a rape victim. A Church spokesman said the pill would be allowed as long as it had a preventative and not an abortive effect.
