She's finally starting to embrace the words that fans use to describe her; cute, sweet and genuine. Lissa's music is not dissimilar and being likened to artists such as Regina Spektor and Ingrid Michaelson, honestly reveals itself through her unique voice and song writing.
Momentum has constantly been building for Lissa, playing shows all around Sydney and the East Coast as well as festivals such as Festival of the Sun, Newtown Festival and Adelaide's The Gorgeous Festival, alongside Emma Louise, Josh Pyke and Icehouse. Numerous support slots were played with Australia's highly respected and loved Diesel in 2011 as well as an appearance made with Clare Bowditch on her Winter Secrets Tour.
The past two years have also seen Lissa release a series of EPs named 'small steps' with Part One released to a sold out crowd in May of 2010 and Part Two in March, 2011 at the Vanguard.
Lissa's 'small steps' project has been her companion on the road and the expression of her journey so far. She has now arrived at releasing the third and final part of 'small steps' which was launched on March 1 at The Basement in Sydney alongside Mark Wilkinson to a sold out crowd. Recorded at Linear Studios in Sydney with Chris Vallejo (Josh Pyke/Passenger), 'small steps - Part Three' is delightfully fresh and ready to find its way into listeners' homes.
