We all know that when this cartoon was initially released in theatres in 1953, one scene about the short history of Ben's mouse was cut out. It is still unknow why this was cut, but everyone presumes it's because of time issues, as otherwise the short would have crossed the lenght for an initial Disney two-reel featurette. But that doesn't mean Disney didn't restore this scene and stored it in their vaults, and every TV airing very fortunately kept this scene all intact.

But the current DVD Disney Treasures print, however, somehow managed to use the theatrical print of the cartoon, and thus it appeared on the set with this scene cut. And the DVD print seems to be the only one currently resurfacing on the net, and that's why I uploaded my recreation of the full uncut print of this cartoon, along with the original 1953 Buena Vista logo (as the current print we see everywhere is the 1960s reissue).

So this is the full original "correct" theatrical print of the cartoon, with all the correct original titles and all the uncut scenes.

This is one of the two only Internet instances of this deleted scene, the other one being a better quality one but unfortunately having a yellow watermark on the bottom-right.

Enjoy! I DON'T OWN NOTHING!
