Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup (250 mL) butter, softened
1 cup (250 mL) packed brown sugar
½ cup (125 mL) granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp (15 mL) vanilla
2⅓ cups (575 mL) all purpose flour
1 tsp (5 mL) baking soda
½ tsp (2 mL) salt
1½ cups (375 mL) semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup (125 mL) raisins


Method
Pre-heat your oven to 350ºF (180°C).
In bowl, cream together butter & sugars until fluffy.
Beat in eggs, 1 at a time; beat in vanilla.
Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt; stir into butter mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips, and raisins.
Chill for 30 minutes.
Drop by rounded 1 Tbsp onto baking sheets.
Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven until edges are golden, 10-12 minutes.
Let cool on baking pan on a cooling rack for 5 minutes; then transfer to racks and cool completely.

Makes 36 cookies.
