Heavy storms have caused flooding and damage to buildings in Madeira off the coast of Portugal.
One person died after being swept out to sea.
Schools have been shut and flights cancelled.
Waves of up to seven metres high battered the coast and the island remains on red alert with more bad weather forecast.
