Doctors and the Abominable Organ Trade

Doctors were involved in the abominable trade of human kidney in Pakistan. We discovered a village where every single person had sold his kidney to make both ends meet. The doctors used to plant agents who convinced simple people that one kidney was enough to get along in life. The simple, poverty ridden and illiterate people used to sell their kidneys for a meager amount of Rs 70,000 or so. We exposed the doctors and agents and the provincial government cracked down the private hospitals. The federal government passed a law against the human organ trade.
