Speakers favor FCR abolition and FATA mainstreaming (Khyber News)

Kohat: The majority of the representative belonging to FATA and members of civil society has rejected the Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR) in totality and demanded compete abolition of the FCR during a discussion on the issue whereas some of the participants favored drastic reformation in the present system imposed on the people of FATA. These demands were the outcome of seminar ‘ FCR: Need of Reformation, challenges and Way Forward’, organized by Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) with the participation of members of the civil society, lawyers, representatives of political parties, journalists, tribal elders ad students hailing from the FATA.
