AFRICA NEWS - Sudan-apostasy: Woman sentenced to death gives birth

Sudanese woman sentenced to hang for refusing to say that she's a muslim has today given birth in jail. Meriam Yehya Ibrahim Ishag's case has drawn international criticism.The 27 year old was condemned to die in May under sudan's interpretation of sharia law. She was also sentenced to 100 lashes for marrying a christian - a marriage viewed as adulterous under sharia.
