Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday said all the 20 components of the 20-party alliance led by BNP are 'malignant tumours' for the nation. There is no doubt that they don't want peace and progress of the country.

"Most of the parties of the BNP-led alliance are anti-liberation forces. Slogans are raised from the public meetings of the BNP leader for release of the war criminals. If you look at their meetings, you will see whether they are pro-liberation or anti-liberation forces," she said.

The Prime Minister was addressing a big youth rally organized by Jubo League at Suharawardi Uddyan marking the 42nd founding anniversary of the organization.

Pointing out the BNP-led orchestrated rampage, destruction and killing of innocent people to foil the January 5, 2014 election, Sheikh Hasina said BNP leader must be hold responsible one day for giving indulgence to those crimes against innocent people.

Jubo League, youth front of Awami League, organized the rally marking the 42nd founding anniversary of the organization. Chairman of the organization Omar Faruk Chowdhury was in the chair while Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University AAMS Arefin Siddiqui, former chairman of the organization Jahangir Kabir Nanak, MP, and secretary Harun ar Rashaid spoke, among others.

Sheikh Hasina urged Jubo League members to be ready for making any sacrifice in future like the past for the cause of the nation and build the organization as a strong unit free from all bad names.

"Jubo League was in the fore in the war of liberation and all movements for restoration of democracy after 1975. So, leaders and workers of the organization should be ready to fight for the nation in future also," she said.

Country's democracy could not be foiled in January 2014 as the youths and countrymen were united, she added.

Sheikh Hasina said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman founded Jubo League in 1972 aimed to ensure participation of all youth folks in the nation building activities after independence.

She said country's youths have a role in all national activities including the Liberation War. So the anti-liberation force was very much annoyed with them.

"They killed founder chairman of Jubo League and popular youth leader Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni on August 15, 1975. The gruesome murder was followed by killing, torture, disappearance of the youth leaders across the country," she said.
