Tate Bradley, a 25-year-old African-American man, tries to commit suicide at a time when both his birthday and wedding are some days and weeks near. Although he survives, it is clear that something is killing him. He tries to shut himself up in his apartment – hiding from the whole world. However, to his surprise, the important players in his troubled life arrive one by one to check on him. Each visit reveals something about the role played by Tate’s family members, enemies and friends in his attempted suicide. This compels him to confront his own demons.
