Blake Washburn (Jeffrey Lynn) a politician of repute loses out in the election, which does not go easy with him. Someone has to pay for his defeat and he says that John Macfarland (Donald Crisp) is responsible for him losing the seat in state legislature. Washburn takes things into his hand and decides to deface the public image of Macfarland. He takes responsibility for the family newspaper and utilizes it for his purpose. But when his sister is in an economic crisis, the big business comes to the rescue and Washburn has to rethink.
