Man burns to death in horrific car fire on Grand Central Parkway, Queens

A 2013 Toyota Highlander burst into flames after running over a metal car bumper, killing the backseat passenger.
The Highlander was travelling east on the Grand Central Parkway in Queens. The driver was Akeem Phillip, 26. In the passenger seat was Saturne Saint-Surin, 25. And in the back seat was Dale Tulloch.
The Toyota ran over the bumper. This ruptured the gas tank, which began to leak fuel.
Akeem pulled the burning car over to the side of the road. He and Saturne managed to escape. They thought their friend Dale could get out too. But when they looked back, they didn't see him.
