Chevrolet brand of General Motors hasn’t done good business in India except probably the Beat diesel hatchback. In order to rectify its bad fortune in this market, General Motors had recently announced a $1 billion investment along with some promising new products starting with the new Trailblazer SUV which will be launched sometime this October.
Not much spces about the Trailblazer is out yet, but rumour has it that it will be powered by the Duramax diesel engines of Chevrolet which are capable of churning out 150 and 180bhp of peak power. Will the Trailblazer be able to revive Chevrolet’s fortunes in India? We don’t know that yet, but since Trailblazer is an all-American SUV, it might just be able to hold its own against its competitors like Toyota Fortuner.
