Gaza: Kidney Patients Stage Sit-In

Some kidney patients in a Gaza hospital joined a sit-in initated by doctors in the Ministry of Health to protest a lack of medications and dialysis machines, as well as the power outages that make it impossible to use those machines that do exist. The dialysis treatments offered to 544 adults and children with chronic kidney failure may be discontinued if the current situation is not remedied. The health sector in the coastal enclave is hard hit by Israeli closure of terminals and restrictions placed on the import of medical supplies. Noor Harazeen reports from Gaza for teleSUR
