The Maine Marine Patrol and U.S. Coast Guard responded to reports of a runaway lobster boat. They were able to bring it under control, but its captain was found dead.

A lobsterman from Maine was found dead in his own boat on Friday, October 2nd. 
That afternoon, suspicion was aroused by a lobster boat going around in circles. This led the ferry Everett Libby to notify the Northern New England Command Center in Portland. 
Two members of the Maine Marine Patrol, Sergeant Matt Talbot and Specialist Corrie Roberts responded to the call.
They found the boat near Owls Head Light still engaged in a circular pattern. 
The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed someone was still on board—apparently unconscious.
