Lee Perry is a legend and one of the fathers of the classic reggae and dub sound. His incredible creativity, often pushed to the limit, is often shown through extreme and eccentric behaviour. One example would be the episode of the destruction of his legendary Black Ark Studios, where he had created his own unmistakable sound during the seventies.

In the scene since the days of ska, Scratch has worked with almost all the greatest artists of his time: his production of The Wailers, Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh is memorable and so are the works together with the Heptones, the Congos, Junior Murvin and Max Romeo. The craziest dubs in dozens of albums bear his signature. His current performances are a mixture of solid reggae and the most unpredictable kinds of dub.
