Colombia: Major Advances in Peace Process This Year

Significant advances in the peace process between the Colombian government and the FARC guerrillas in the year 2015. The agreement on justice was a major breakthrough that included victim reparations, truth and guarantees of non-repetition. The FARC complied with a series of unilateral truces, diminishing the level of violence considerably. FARC guerrillas expressed deep regret for a massacre committed in 2002, when they unintentionally killed between 80 and 100 people in the village of Bojayá. .
