An advisory panel to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended the The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that FluMist nasal spray doesn't stop the flu virus. The CDC recommended the vaccine be shelved this flu season and all patients receive an injectible form. For the third consecutive year, the nasal spray showed no detectable protection from the virus. Nasal flu vaccines represent about one-third of all flue vaccines given to children. FluMist represents 8 percent of the flu vaccine stock in the United States.
