From the Norwegian web series Skam (scenes from Season 2)

The events in Season 2 take place between March and June 2016. The main character this season is Noora, and the storyline focuses on her.

Noora has become good friends with Eva, Sana, Vilde and Chris. Isak and Jonas are still best friends. Noora’s flatmates Eskild and Linn are introduced this season. We see much more of Eskild than we do of Isak. But while we don’t see a lot of Isak, it’s all relevant to the turn of events in Season 3. People are talking about him all the time, speculating whether he’s gay.

Even the ouija board things Isak is gay! The girls play with the board during a snowy weekend in a country cabin. Chris still has a thing about Isak and asks the board a question about him. A few days later Noora tells Eva she saw Isak getting into a car with 3rd year student Christoffer, as if they were trying to hide it. Eskild overhears the conversation and decides to try and find out more about Isak.

William continues his advances towards Noora. She’s been trying her best to keep out of his way but in the end she can't avoid going on the date she promised him. This leads to a fling with William, when she realises she’s beginning to fall in love with him. Then William tells her he’s moving to London, permanently. Poor Noora, what is she to do? And who is crashing in Noora and Eskild’s basement?

Note: One of the underlying themes in Season 2 is Russ-tide (Russetiden), and the annual Russ celebration (Russefeiring), a popular tradition in Norway for 3rd year high school students in their final semester before graduating. In Norway many students turn 18 before the Russefeiring. It starts in late April and lasts until 17th May, which is the Norwegian National Constitution Day. During this period, 3rd year students dress in red or blue overalls (Russedress) and party solidly every night until the early hours. Popular DJs often write special dance music (Russelåt – Russ songs) for the celebrations.

Often they form themselves into Russ party groups (Russegruppe), such as William and Christoffer’s Penetrator group, and club together to buy an old bus, which they adapt and decorate as their party bus (Russebuss). Or maybe just a party van (Russebil).
