From the minute German band Tokio Hotel hit the airwaves with their debut record ‘Schrei’ in 2005 their lives would no longer be the same. Since then, the band sold millions of records, won numerous awards, and played the world over. Now on their sixth album Dream Machine, the band led by the Kaulitz twins aims to recapture some of the freedom they had before their fame. “It was simpler, it was just about making music and nothing else mattered. Sometimes record companies, the music industry, success, makes it very complicated. The challenge is to keep the simplicity and the reason why you started out, and that is because you enjoy music.”
