Dense smog in Delhi created dangerous conditions for those traveling near the city on November 7.The visibility on the Delhi-Chandigarh highway was as low as 50 meters (roughly 150 feet), according to local media reports. The intense smog was also credited with road, rail and airport delays and residents were told not to leave their homes.The Indian Medical Association also declared a public health emergency in the city due to the poor air quality.
