Rebeca Clark, born and raised on the beautiful island of Florianopolis, Brazil has been making her way across the globe with her captivating and unique indie-folk sound. Growing up in a musical family, Rebeca started playing the drums when she was only three years old but decided, at age eight, to give guitar a try. She fell in love with music and found her passion for the electric and acoustic guitar. She was completely besotted with the likes of John Mayer and Andrew Belle, and learned by watching her family play.
In 2010 Rebeca made a bold and exciting move to South Africa where she met and married her husband, Kevin, a great inspiration to her. It wasn’t until 2012, at the tender age of 22, where Rebeca decided to broaden her horizons by embracing song. Her passion for music and utmost determination lead her to the United States of America where she attended a music academy. During this time, living in Orange County California, Rebeca joined a country-blues band where she was given the opportunity to play at the House of Blues in Hollywood, a dream come true. She then moved to Houston Texas where she formed a band and started to dabble in song writing.
Today, Rebeca is back in South Africa embracing a solo career where she is composing and collaborating with local muso’s, bringing her unique sound to South Africa. She has just returned from a tour in her hometown of Floripa, Brazil and is looking forward to playing alongside the likes of Majozi and Desmond and the Tutu’s in the very near future.
For Rebeca, it is all about the music. Her dream is that she will captivate people with her music, where they are moved by her passion and experience music without boarders.
