Anticipation is high,... with the new Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, scheduled to deliver his *first testimony to Congress,.. before taking over from Janet Yellen.
The Dow Jones and the S&P 500 finished higher for the third straight day,... with both adding over one-percent to finish the day at 25,709-point-2 and 2,779-point-6, respectively.
The Nasdaq added about the same percentage amount at 7,421-point-4.
Shares in Korea were mixed on the first session of the week,... with the benchmark KOSPI adding a quarter-percent to 2,457-point-6-5,... marking the second upbeat trading day in a row-- after a more than one-percent gain last Friday.
The junior bourse KOSDAQ was flat,... at 874-point-4.
