Now to the figures on the market,...
Wall Street finished mostly lower on Monday,... pushed down by the industrial sector, while the Nasdaq closed at a record high,... largely due to optimism over last Friday's jobs data that showed solid economic growth **without triggering wage pressure.
The Dow Jones and the S&P 500 closed point-6 percent and one-tenth-of-a-percent lower at 25,206 and 2,783 respectively.
The tech-laden Nasdaq was up 27 points or little less than half-a-percent to 7,588,... this, after hitting an intraday high of 7609-point-1.
At the closing bell,... markets in Korea finished the day up,... over eased geopolitical concerns.
The benchmark KOSPI closed the day up one-percent at 2,484,... while the junior bourse KOSDAQ was up over two-percent at 884-point-2-7.
