A lucky to be alive 11-year-old yesterday (wed) thanked the heroes who saved him after his heart stopped beating during a school swimming lesson. Cade (corr) Ewington, 11, was rescued by quick-thinking swimming teachers after they saw him fall unconscious and pulled him from the pool. A lifeguard then jumped to his side to perform life saving CPR and paramedics were on the scene within five minutes. But now after the youngster has spent weeks at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London recovering - he was reunited with those who saved him. His father, Mark, 46, said: "This just shows the importance of people knowing CPR when they work in leisure centres as without that lifeguard, Cade wouldn't be here.
