The National Weather Service revised down its crest prediction for the Waccamaw River in Conway, South Carolina, on September 26, and said the river would likely crest later in the day and hold for several days before receding.Conway officials took a helicopter tour of the city on Wednesday morning, checking flooded neighborhoods and planning for eventual recovery efforts.The Waccamaw was expected to top out at about 21.2 inches, and it was just below that at 11 am on Wednesday.
